If it were a Honda, I would buy it!
That's a bargain for someone looking for a Nissan.
Good Luck with the sale.

Curious, was the car NASA logbooked? Only reason I ask is because of the diagonal in the main hoop. My brother is looking for a caged car, so if that IS logbooked I'll point him your way

Edit: Also, where are you located?

It's been logbooked, John ran it for a while, he's now moved over to an H2 car. Nice guy too.

yes the car is logbooked...see pic below---the yellow book is the Logbook.

The price he's selling it for is pretty much what the shocks cost. I can't believe he's selling it for that cheap!!

Oops! My dad's logbooked cage was found illegal a year later, so be careful with it anyway. It's not that big a deal to fix.

The way that the main hoop is constructed is indeed legal, I believe that it wasn't initially, but the clarification stated that it was indeed legal, but the 1 part diagonal was the preference.

Here is what Jerry Kunzman wrote on the matter:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> "Tell them that our intent is not to disallow those diagonals that are properly installed just because the horizontal intersects it. Technically, it doesn't conform to the letter of the rules, but we will let it go.
Again, there has been NO CHANGE in the way we are doing things. The clarification in there is to get cage builders to start installing the diagonal first.

You can post that above." Jerry Kunzman 3-28-2008</TD></TR></TABLE>

without being able to make sure i fit good leg wise and height wise....and without being able to look the car over with my own eyes first. Too risky to just buy and ship across the states. The car looks great, but i just couldnt do that.

Well, it doesn't have a seat so you can put any seat in it to fit you.

I can understand your position. I don't like making purchases on things I can't put my hands on first. But do you know anyone that you can trust on the west coast that can eyeball it for you? Maybe another fellow NASA member? I apologize to you for sounding like a car salesman.....

its not hte idea of getting a seat that fits me, i have those in my nissan now, its being able to fit the seat in the car so that i fit inside the cage. I drive a 240sx now with rollbar and i had to modify the floor so my head would legally clear the NASA main hoop rules.

as far as having someone out there that can see it and look everything over the way i would, not much of a chance there.

its ok to sound like a salesman, understandable you want the car gone, I am just in the most awkward situation to be the right buyer, sorry. The car looks great from the photos, good luck with the sale. I am sure it will end up in good hands.

Chad, could you move the entire thread over to the correct section for me? I thought I had it in the right spot.

I know how to copy MY post to another forum. I just don't have the rights to copy the ENTIRE thread over including all the replies. It gives my car/thread some credibility when a Andre Hartanto or Jonathan Meris or Austin Getty gives it a thumbs up. I would like potential buyers to see that.

I guess I'll just create a new one anyway....

He asked you to move it to the "RACE CARS FOR SALE THREAD" at the top of this forum, not to the "For Sale" forum. You can create a new post in that thread. Add a link to this one if you want to keep the vouches for the car.

Yes, he did say move it but he also said that this will be locked and deleted. Link won't work.
