So what are you going to do about crank pulley and hood clearance?

Oh snap lol. I neglected to mention that I converted to the h23 manual timing belt tensioner and am eliminating all the gears and pulleys associated with the balancer shafts. That way, the pulley actually moves inward toward the engine half an inch. I also have the esp alternator relocator kit that moves the alt. Inward the same 1/2" and also lower, more towards the oilpan.

For hood clearance my iab is removed, gonna cut an extra VC I have laying around, and gonna space my hood up hopefully no more than 1"

I considered doing that with my pulley, but I wanted to keep my lower timing belt cover. Are you running a single belt pulley? With my single belt pulley I still ended up cutting over an 1" into my frame rail for room.

We're both doing the exact same thing for the VC, I have mine all hacked up and I'm running an SiR style CF hood from VIS. Also no IAB's

I already test fit my hood on my cut up VC and it will still require spacers, but as you suspected, It looks like it'll be under an inch.

Yeah I'm running asingle belt pulley, but when converting to the manual timing belt tensioner I took out a gear that was for one of the balancer shaft belts. It sits in between the block and the pulley and acts as a spacer. So my pulley went towards the motor by half an inch

So hopefully today it won't be burning hot lol! Me and my fiance can't get anything done because we are always swimming lol.

Later on I'm gonna purchase a qtec electronic exhuast cutout. I was thinking about wiring it up to the vtec or buying an rpm activated switch and tuning it like that. Any comments/feedback/experience on this?

Ok so we FINALLY cleaned my car out yesterday lol. But I was kinda upset when I weighed the sound deadener. It didn't even register on the scale! I weighed my self and I was 197, then I held the bucket of sound deadener and was 200 lol! Iguess its because I only did the back of the car.

On another, I decided against the 5 lug setup. I weighed my options and would prefer to have a real setup instead of just the bling factor.. Here's the setup I decided on:

-itr calipers and redrilled powerslot rotors up front, powerslots in the rear
-earls stainless brake lines
-DA knuckles which I have laying around. They just need to be put back together with some arp studs.
-hawk hps front pads or taking suggestions
-MAYBE cusco MC brace depending on how much this other stuff costs me.

So basicly I'll have 11" rotors up front with itr 2 piston calipers but 4x100 so I can keep rockin my jaknifes!

Ok this may be the last update for a while...

My car needs an alignment pretty bad.

When I had the DA front knuckle assemblies on I adjusted the toe myself and it worked pretty good too. But then when I took them off and put stock ones back on the stock ones need to be adjusted back to normal specs. I am not going to do this since it seems to me a waste of time because the da knuckles are going back on anyway.

Now I still plan to do my brake setup, but here's my next immediate plan:

I have my old da knuckles sitting around which are bare. I'm going to buy some new bearings, lower ball joint, and arp extended studs and put the knuckles back together since it will need to be done eventually anyway and slap those on. I still have my da calipers and brake rotors as well that I could use while I'm saving for my brake setup.

This way I can get my car aligned before I get the brake setup and so if I decide to drop my motor in it will actually grab!

Unfortunately I'm gonna need about $350 to get my knuckles put back together(including new bearings) so it will be awhile before I have that money.

My fiance is going back home soon and when she leaves I'll have no pc or camera so I'll also need to buy those. Just waiting on my stimulus check which should be here shortly

So now I'm waiting for two things in the mail:

1) my baker battery!
2) my q-tec electronic cutout

Once I get my battery (which should be coming today) I'll go on down to the beat shop and get the fuse and wires I need and take lots of pics and show the install!

The cutout won't be installed until my motor goes in. It will be a straight pipe with the valve closed and when it opens I'll be running open header! I'm gonna wire it up to me vtec solenoid so whenever vtec engages it will open up

update:

i got my battery!

here she blows

the battery came in the mail on tuesday. today we went on down to audio express and got 10 feet of 4 gauge power wire, a distribution block, 60 amp fuses, and an inline fuse holder. i spent a total of 110.00 at audio express.i was worried that the power wire wouldnt be long enough but it perfect!

well the install was a breeze and only took about 30 minutes. heres the finished product.we put the batt all the way at the back of the car right behind the passenger side tailight.

on another note. here are a BUNCH more pics! i leterally just addded 36 pics to photobucket......enjoy!

here are my gauges when the key is off

heres how they look when i turn the key!

so heres how my rear interior looks lol. im half way finished with it. i still need to sand the residue from the sound deadener, then prime and paint.

heres my goofy self messin with the battery lol

more pics from a nice camera!

Ya I wish he would have kept that thing was clean! Oh well, his choice.

I won't be going to the ef meet. I really wish I could, but I stay in sac, and that's along way to go, especially in fixed position buckets
