2000 Accord rear hub
Anyone change a rear hub on a 2000 accord and run into the problem of the inner half race stuck on the spindle? If so what method did you use to remove it? My gf accord had bad bearings on the pass. side rear hub. got the old hub off but couldnt get the inner ball bearing race out ( the half that the inner set of ball bearings ride on). Hope you guys can help.

yes, thats normal...
I've heard of people using a cut-off wheel to cut a slot in the race and then wedging something into the slot and cracking the race in half. I've done this on other things and it work good but I've never tried it on this.

Re: 2000 Accord rear hub
I work @ NAPA.We sell something called a bearing splitter.try looking up a "BK" part # 825-5130 or a 825-5131. You may also look @ "SER" #'s 2263,2264,2265. This tool might help. Although comtrary to it's name it does not actually slit the bearing or cone, it alowws yuo to get behind it. Even if it is in a confined space. Then use a slide push/puller tool to get it off of what ever its on. hope this helps.
