Default My "Uncle Ben's" DC2 rebuild

After I sold my mint 94 GS-R to a friend who needed a car. because his EF got stolen, I always dreamed of building a white DC2 with a JDM conversion. I already had a JDM B18C sitting from a previous transaction. So after months of looking for a white shell, I finally found my base. Here is the process of the build:

1-07-07
Craigslist posting pic. Scoping out the shell. Asking price $2200, paid $1550. Alot ricey, but very clean:

1-13-07
Actual pics after the stakeout:

3-20-07
Brought back shell to my friend's house for the rebuild and dericing. Negotiated for $1550.

4-05-07
Look what UPS dropped off:

4-21-07
Hacking off the USDM support to install the JDM support:

5-08-07
Cleaned up engine bay and ABS delete:

Dropping in the motor:

5-19-07
Modding SiR-G headlights to blackened ITR style and painting bumper grill:

Finished product:

Finishing headlight wiring and final fit:

NOPI St. Louis June 07:

Different looks:
On 16' Enkei RS-E's:

On 15' Drag DR-20's w/ ITR style lip:

As it sits today with 16' Rota GT3's:

Planning for boost this Spring. Aleady have the kit, just trying to find the time to install and tune.

Planned boost for this Spring. Updates on the installation:

Specs: Drag Gen II kit, AEM EMS included, upgraded Spearco intercooler, XS Power BOV, Tial 38 mm wastegate, STR fuel rail, 550 RC injectors, 255 Walbro.

Still have to hook up the vacum lines and gauges. More updates to come.

What all is involved when removing the abs? just unplug everything in the engine bay? doing that will give you an abs light, right?

nice transformation by the way.

Updated pics on finished turbo installation and added some stuff:

P.S. Yes I know that is a Benen front tow hook, but it was a gift from an EM1 because it didn't clear a C-West front bumper, it works, so it's there.

Body Modifications: JDM front end conversion, type r style lip, red H emblems, APR CF mirrors, Benen rear tow hook
Interior Modifications: USDM ITR front seats, JDM ITR gauge cluster, Sparco steering wheel, Skunk2 shift ****, Auto meter boost, oil pressure, and fuel pressure gauges, NGK AFX wideband, Broadway mirror, CF radio block-off plate
Engine and Transmission Modifications: JDM B18C, Exedy stage I clutch
Performance: AEM EMS, Drag Gen II t3/t4 turbo kit, STR fuel rail, B&M fuel pressure regulator, Tial wastegate, XS Power RFL BOV, Spearco intercooler, eccel spark plug wires, ApexI Gen I Dragger exhaust
