Default My Amuse GT1 build 95% complete

Hey everyone, been on here for awhile, but haven't posted very much.
I would like to thank my buddy, Justin, from gearheadz for helping me along in this project.
The kit arrived back in January, but it took till now to get the car into the bodyshop. Hopefully we will make our deadline and have the car ready fot the DTP Vancouver show at the end of May. I will try to keep this updated as much as possible during the whole build.

I have posted a few pics of the kit and I will post more after all the parts are unwrapped and test fitted.
Car is a 05 GPW on Red/Black with 20000 kms. Plans are to keep the car N/A. Possibly the Toda stroker kit, cams, and itbs after the show. I would have liked for the engine to be completed before the show, but it won't be possible due to the tight schedule and wait times for the parts. The original plans involved custom fitted Brembo Monoblocs, 19" vsxx's, Laguna Seca Blue Paint, red OMP Grips carbon Kevlar,
and Mooncraft hardtop. But I've now decided to keep the car GPW for now with the parts list below. The Brembo's were dropped out and sold to SK and are now are his monster k20 DC2R.

Here is the current parts list:
Amuse GT1 widebody
18x10 18x12 works vsxx (if they arrive on time)
19x10 19x11 ssr's for backup wheels
J's Racing oversize type 1 GT wing
Oem Hardtop (trying to keep the Amuse look)
Bilstein Pss9's
Project Mu BBK
J's intake
J's header
Custom exhaust to fit the rear bumper
Bride Gias carbon kevlar (if they arrive on time)
Mugen FG360 steering wheel with Mugen hub
Koyo rad

Here are some pics I took at the shop today. Most of the parts are still wrapped so I will go back to get some updated pictures sometime next week.

Stay tuned for more updates

My favorite widebody kit for the S.

No forced induction? The car is going to look fast but be slow.

lol still deciding on what to do with the engine. For now I'm leaning towards the N/A setup with the stroker kit, cams, and itbs.

Too aggressive for me, BUT still sick. Great quality parts. I'm glad you're at least doing it the right way.

You know that the Tracy comes out an easy winner

Its a hard choice between the two .. on the track the amuse looks the part, on the streets it has got to be Tracy

well, the car is 95% done and made it in time to the DTP show, but due to a misunderstanding, the car did not compete in the show and was only used as a display car in the Mobil1 booth

Big thanks to NV plus, Chickara, and Checkpoint Collision for putting in long hours and getting the car ready to make the show.

Here are the parts that made it onto the car
18x10 18x11 work vsxx
Project Mu bbk
Bilstein PSS9's
OEM hardtop
Carbon Fiber GT3 seats
Takatas with harness pads
Cusco sub-frame bar
Cusco strut bar
Comptech X brace
J's Tsuchinoko intake
J's Header
J's cooling plate
KoyoRad
Carbing Catch Can
J's Type 1 Gt Wing
Custom dual 3" exhaust
Carbon Mirrors
Mugen FG360 steering wheel and Mugen Hub
Spoon Ti shift knob
T1R racespec driveshaft spacers
Temporary - MG hood

The car will be back into the shop on the weekend to get some minor issues patched up. Plans for the near future include:
Hayward/Jenvey ITB's
2.4L stroker kit
Cams and valvetrain
J's racing or ASM Hood
ASM, CWest, or J's racing carbon doors
ASM or Amuse Trunk
Custom dash with defi gauges, HUD, and in-dash screen
Exhaust re-done in Titanium
Cusco 7 point cage

Hope you guys enjoy the pics!! :D
