3M has a kit with all the necessary components for about $15. Search for 3M 39008. Eran did a review of it previously in this thread.

I just used it today to fix the hazy headlamps on an Elantra and the results came out great. Recommended

Good stuff.

It's not a bad idea to hit your headlights once a year with 2000-2500 grit regardless. Keeps them from getting THAT bad.

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone! I've been away for a while getting my detail business started. I just did a full paint restoration on a '95 BMW 8 series. We did a full photo spread on it after I was done. I'll be posting those pics by this weekend, if the photographer is done with them.

this process works really great.
However, when I went to Schucks to look up for some products,
I came across to plastic cleaner from Meguiar, and it was on sale for 5.99$.
Couldn't pass it since my headlight was bit cloudy and what not, just like
the picture above, so after purchase and try, its about the same result as
this process that's been stated.

I won't say if its any better than above or worse, but I am very satisfied
with the result that I got from this Meguiar product.

what do you do to keep it looking new? i've done this a bunch of times in the past, results are great as they look new again. but they all just go back to how they were in a few weeks or so.

i use a product called klasse, its a sealant, i just bought me a car with paint intact finally lol, but will be applying the sealant to the entire car every 3 months after completely detailing my car. it's safe to use on paint, plastic, metal, fiberglass, just about any hard surface you can think of, tile, formica...

then after that i wax the headlight with a good paste wax, wax the headlights every month, reseal them every 3. they'll shine forever.

is this procedure only for oxidation? Because I was wondering if it would work for scratch fix ups

Quick question. have you work on any 01 civic headlights? The reason i ask is that the headlight has a slight raise in it for on of the lights? Would you modify any of your steps in order to compensate for this? Or do you think the buffer will be able to get all of the light? thanks
