I'll pay anyone, in the stockton area, $50.00 to bring their strongest impact and compressor to MY place and get the stupid crank pulley bolt off. THIS week only! the bolt's holding on with more than 200 ft lbs easy! thanks!

just switch the impact gun to tighten. hit it couplda times then switch it back to loosen and it should be able to come off. did a few timing belts and water pumps. so yea. that should work

would that cause any damage? any recomended steps? i'm using an electric impact so i'm thinking that it's pretty weak.

i got here at work at 5 this morning so i'm a little hyped up on caffeine. please excuse me.

here are some updates:

so the motor's out. it's garbage! j/k.

the bay area needs some cleaning

now, i'm not really satisfied with any shift knobs out there so here's some progress on what i'm doing about that...

and i wanted to start on my brake lines so i was traveling in my back yard and i stumbled upon a bush that was growing these....

and i noticed there was a light peeking through the fence behind that bush so i broke the fence and there was this huge land full of parts new AND old! oh man!

this is what i've found so far:

some weird spinning disc mechanism...

random sleeves....i don't know anyone with arms that long and skinny

an ancient tool used by native americans to flare there arrows:

and a flux capacitor:

guess what i'm doing with this tree sap and eucalyptus juice!

you'll never guess it right! check out my sig!

Nice!! Talkin about the seat brackets...i see some aluminum being used, is that just for mock-up?? Aluminum seat brackets would not be too strong in a collision!

obD2, just wire it up using a obd2 connector.

eDiT:
You may want to consider getting a single cam alternator or at least swapping to a smaller pulley.
This is mine with balance shafts removed, alt moved 1/2" inward and a single cam 4 rib alt.

thats what i'm using! you think it'd be wise to just bang the frame rail there? man i wish i knew how to weld. i'd fix the clearance quick.

heres an update on the shifter:

shifter polished (one for wifey, one not yet done)

i'll do a write up for my next shifter polish since i now feel comfortable.

cleared these holes to install this mechanism:

yay! no more auto shifter!

painted the rust magnet rusto satin black:

exercised my line bendage skills.

i tried so hard not to get that loop.

cleaned out exhaust side of bottom block today. i'll have more picks of that next update; tomorrow maybe?

i ran into a weird problem though...
i don't think i bought the right h2b kit or the right intermediate shaft or am using the right nuts, bolts and spacers for the kit or the kit didn't come with the right nuts bolts and spacers.

problem: if i bolt the intermediate shaft bracket to the intermediate shaft, the holes on the bracket for block mounting is to high (including the sensor). if i mount the bracket to the block first, the plate either isn't angled enough or i need to use longer bolts and three spacers between the intermediate shaft and bracket.

solution: quick desperate trip to home depot and standard threading bolts nuts and spacer.

did anybody else have this problem? i'm using a gsr tranny with DA intermediate shaft. qsd kit.
