Ok.. First of all, great topic.

I have a 1.5L engine.

Bisimoto designed cam by Web Camshafts in CA.

162WHP & 123ft/lbs..
Yes Bisi designed the cam for my setup. Can anyone else come up with that much on even a 1.6 N/A???
14.000 @97mph with a 1.9 60ft. in a 1990 civic sedan LX with complete interior and glass, Including a 220lbs driver. Ask Bisi if you dont believe me..

great idea on the thread hope my post would be of help to some,

a few builds i did last year,

camshaft - Bisimoto level2 webcam
springs - bisimoto

block - d15b (jdm)
head - d16a6 , ported, cleaned up etc
IM - match ported flange to head, matched
to a 60mm throttle
header - local 4-2-1 made out of SS elbows
and pipes lol 2.5in outlet
to 24inch reso (2.5in dia)

roughly 11.2:1 comp
running on our 91oct pump gas
tuned via crome free

my apologies for the shitty scan lol..

this motor was disassembled after 3k miles..
to build the next motor

next up is...

camshaft - bisimoto level 2 webcam regrind
springs - bisimoto

block - d16a6, refreshed, with pm0 pistons (5cc dome, 30.80 CH)
ARP rod bolts on a6 rods sized etc, ARP head bolt ,
head - ported by a shop, cleaned up by me, owner said it had sum sort of
valvejob done to it ( dunno what kind lol), 40cc chamber vol.

IM - same exact one used on the above (134) engine

Header - same exact one used on the above (134) engine
more details: 1.75in primaries.. 2inch secondaries.. 2.5in outlet
( may be too big? i dunno )

roughly 12.7:1 comp
100 oct. leaded gasoline
tuned on crome Free

last motor for last year:

same exact motor that made 147whp

revised/changed the ff:

new a6 head ported by me (nothing fancy) just diy , no valvejob done to it, left stock

refaced/milled .020"

chamber volume 40cc (lol atleast roughly, via cyringe)

.057" Head gasket
block remains the same with pm0 pistons

i believe the comp now goes down to
12.1:1 ,
running on 94oct pump gas this time..
tuned via crome Free..

to my surprise we gained 1whp, and roughly 3ft lbs torque, with dropping the comp etc,
maybe thers more to it.. dunno
but the graph looks cleaner for sure..

tried, compcam 59300
crower2
Zspeed stage 2 <-- taiwan same as
crower stage 2, i think these are the ones sold in the u.s. rebadged with different names lol i dunno..

hope more people share their experience on diff cams, there are a few choices out there,

Crower, Bisimoto, i believe Rocket Motorsports have a few spec's too, and Exospeed,

i wana try a few more set-ups, but it will take time and money, being a small individual haha, but will post a few more when dyno money is available hihihi

hope my findings are of help to people

Here is one from last year.. The chart looks a little funky due to the open header contaminating the intake air into the carbs... Once we fixed that it shot up just a little.
152.9whp 118ftlbs

D15 with milled head, no porting, p29 pistons stock 75mm bore.
Bisimoto camshaft.

so far so good, for high end rpm power, gude has been the best camshaft according for my personal experience... i never try bisimoto camshaft, but i've try rs 338 with extreme 12.5mm (im forgot 12 or 12.5mm) valve lift...
and i compare it with bullfrog hccs 10 (gude)... and gude still won above 6500rpm to 9200...
i try it from my d13b 1400cc to my d16b 1800 (94.4mm crank 77mm bore)... gude still moderately good for me..

i know a lot of camshaft outthere create more power than gude bullfrog hccs10, but thoose camshaft with massive valve lift not reliable, shortening valve train life

...as promised. More D16A6 data:

Full street, D16A1 pistons and rods, dual carbs, cheap DC header, bisimoto springs, level 2 cam:

Full street D16A6, D16A1 pistons and rods, bisimoto spec ported head, dc header, 3" exhaust, level 3 cam, bisimoto springs and retainers:

Sleeved block at 77mm, bisimoto spec Arias pistons (uncoated), dc header, 3" exhaust, Bisimoto spec headwork, level X cam, bisimoto springs and retainers:

BTW, the last chart pales in comparison to my full race D15B2 race engine, which had the level X cam, coated pistons, race fuel, larger intake valves and larger bore!

More than 240whp...as you see my level X D16 made over 230whp, and my full race app made more than that.

Sure, 90mm. The increased breathing characteristics coupled with the larger bore, increased compression and wider lobe separation helped a bunch.

With stock valvesprings: Level 1
With our prosprings: Level 2

I hope that helps.
