my input is, I did this 3 years ago on my ej8-4, the carpet now attracts any kind of fuzzy substance, forcing me to either

A: get a new OEM carpet or;

B: touch up the black stiff carpet every month or so.

Personally I didnt like the cheap feel the carpet gave after the paint. It did end up bleeding out.

I ended up using the carpet as a bon-fire substance, and got an oem one from the junk yard. Now I have to replace my door panels too because the dye is chipping off, and the fabric inserts are now caked in white fuzz/ash, and not even a brush or shampoo will soften it up.

just my experience

the dealership, they are not rare or discontinued. the black mats replaced the old grey mats, and have civic embroidered on them.

Can you elaborate with a part # or car these are supposed to be for? When I search I don't see any description for black, all I see is classy gray and Exc Charcoal

did you brush out the carpet with a wire brush? if you dont it really only becomes a surface color. you will notice the old coler when the carpet gets moved around with your feet. when i did mine i used SEM and it said the "best" results were when you painted, brushed, painted etc...etc...anyway mine lasted for 3 years and had no problems

yea, although that carpet looks really expletiveing good, i don't think spray paint and carpet are suposed to go together. my buddy used a liquid dye and even that comes off kinda quick. he's re-done the carpet in his integra twice in the last two years buying new carpet sucks but if u really want it to look good and last that's probably the best option. i don't know if the spray paint quick fix is ftw, because even though it's inexpensive- in the long run it's really just 'cheap.'

but to each his own. and it does look damn good. lol

go to your dealership and ask them. its for the 96-00 civics. they no longer carry the other color mats. just the black.

there was a spoon in the gas filler neck....So eventually, I found out it was a spoon. Then I duct taped it to the bumper. It was an authentic spoon part till some dickless jerk stole it....Who steals a spoon?!!!
