Indeed. I liked how he was braking after 1/8th of a mile to keep the speeds down.
Would really like to see how it does on a road course especially w/ an amateur (typical hpde) driver.

Well, the nice thing about turbo cars on the track is that a beginner/intermediate can set the power level to what they are comfortable with just by dialing the boost up or down.

Thanks guys! I plan on attending several HPDE/Time Attacks this year. The car will be run at levels between 500 and 700whp, depending on conditions and the track.
Only three months left until driving season....sigh.... |

hmm i've never been to a race track where they tell you to slow down...my friends ek hatch ran 10 flat and the tower asked him to do another run just to see if he'd break into the 9s lol
great vid tho! love the sound (and speed of course haha) |

Everything here was on Pump gas, 600-630whp. Wait till we get a full pass on racegas with the new turbo!

Thats the max that I am personally comfortable running. I could probably run some meth injection and pick up another 100whp or so.
As for the new turbo, I pegged the 4294R at just 24psi(771whp). The motor will hold 1500HP, so that should give you an idea of what I'm going with. I'm keeping the exact specs and setup quiet for now ![]() |

Send us your car with the stock motor!
We will be lighting one up into the high 400's sometime this week. Not by choice, but he purchased my old turbo system and that large of a turbo needs to run a minimum of 10psi to fall within efficiency range. 10psi on my built motor was somewhere around 480whp. The customer is fully aware of what can and probably will happen with running at these elevated power levels with the stock motor, so more power to him! However, we have a 100% success rate with stock motors(rather any FI motor that we've touched) at around 400whp for over two years now. Bring it out Shawn! We'll be doing a budget-priced special sometime soon here, PM me if you're interested. |

That is awesome!!! I have installed/driven my fair share of supercharged NSXs but never a turboed one. Must be sick as hell!! Are you using an intercooler? Water to air or air to air?

twin-core WAIC setup. Intake Air Temps until we pegged the 42R on the dyno never crested 120 degrees. They jumped to 190 degrees when we left the compressor map behind
