Default Stock Sleve B20Vtec Longevity ???

I started this thread in an attempt to catalog stock sleve b20 builds, mileage, mods, usage and
estimated mode of failure if and when it happens. HT has several dyno threads but not a cradle to grave accounting of these builds in one place. Anyone who has one or even old setups would be useful if you can remember the details. I will be updating my information good or bad every few weeks, hope everyone will do the same.
There are alot of different opinions about the reliability of this setup and I would like this to eventually be used as a resource for others considering a stock sleve B20 build.

Thanks for the props, I built it, tuned it and will eventually destroy it. Half of everything I've learned "insert joke here", has been from others willing to share. Hope this helps someone.

Just got back from another HPDE event (NASA @ CMP), put another 100+ miles on track with this setup and everything is still going strong. I'll be going to the We-Todd 3 in April. If anyone lives near CMP it's a great way to spend a weekend and get on track the Honda/Acura crowd.

B20 crank
Stock B20 rods w/ ARP rod bolts
Stock main caps & bolts
Standard ACL bearings
B16 head
Stock valves
CTR cams and springs
AEBS intake mani, 68mm TB
370cc RC Engineering injectors

Crome, fuel cut @ 8300

Motor now has a little over 3000kms on it (just under 2000mi). Haven't dyno'd yet, still running a street tune, but it should be in the 190-200whp/ 130-140ft lbs range. I'll update this when it gets on a dyno.

Slothy, Get a 2.5" exhaust and tune ASAP, let that 2.0L breathe !

I went to another track day but haven't put up the numbers yet. I've been spending most of my free time working on the 24 hrs of Lemons car for the July South Event

I'm in on this one
My setup:
B20Z stock bore, stock sleeves
RS ITR dome pistons 84mm
ITR head, stock ports
JDM Concepts full valvetrain
JDM Concepts high lift cams
RC 440cc injectors
Big Tube stepped header
Omni 2.5 in test pipe
Apexi WS2 exhaust
Kordenbrock Motorsports oil catch can breather kit
Password CF intake tube
LS tranny for those freeway and city driving (need my ITR back)
Action DD/ Kevlar clutch

Made 205hp/14x tq w/ exhaust - 209/148tq unbolted exhaust at B-pipe
Tuned at JDM Concepts with my Apexi Power FC and Commander- 8400rev
Been Dailying this for quite some time now (approx 1yr 3months) just fine.
Recently had my intake cam snap in half while at approx 7500rpms. Got a little lucky because no major damage done to motor and was driving again the next day on stock GSR cams and stock JDM ITR ECU and JDM ITR injectors. Although I need new rockers (pads got worn down some) and 2 valves (leakdown is at about 5% in one cylinder)

So now i'm DD with just cruising around under 4500 rpms so as to not burn the valve until i get the new rockers and valves.

B20B 84.5mm stock sleeves
Golden Eagle block guard
Mild ported ITR head
s2s2 cams
Custom 52mm ITBs
JG Edelbrock Race Competition header
3" piping
CP 11.5 c/r pistons
Eagle H-Beams

I made 220whp with ITBs, 210whp w/ Skunk2 Pro series manifold and 70mm TB. I put about 5000 miles on it before I sold it. It's seen 10k rpm a few times.
