Default My Build Thread

I got my Civic in Dec of ’06 as a Christmas gift after I wrecked my first car a week or two before Christmas. I have done some things to it over the past year but nothing too special...

Pick Up Day:

Interior Speakers & Subs:

Interior-

Tail Lights:

Head Lights:

Exhaust:

12/29 Shoot: (not the best but some turned out ok)

Future plans: k-swap, new suspension set up w/ car slammed, & rims/ tires. Or get an s2000

i don't recommend it tho because it got stuck one day in neutral in the middle of my garage. it took tons of wd40 and lots of tugging w/ pliers to get it off.

Tail lights look like they could use some clear-coat... But a good start.

em2-17--- projectors are from http://www.mytightride.com/hoci20prhe.html
(fyi: when i got the head lights and installed them the first night i could not see the road or anything. i realized that they were pointing directly into the ground. if you get them or other headlights you will have to play w/ the height of the beams so you can see)

em2power--- i painted it myself, i went to napa and got the paint and clear coat

when i got the car it had a magnaflow resonator w/ no muffler and a tip. i took the tip off an put an apexi n1 muffler on. there is no rice sound to it and its not too loud either.

like i said, i haven't done anything too major because im getting rid of the car in a few months so why put tons of money into it. i can put some things on it to make some younger kid want it so it sells faster why not?

Sorry, but i'm with Freddy... it does look a little tacky. It's the lights front and rear, the red stuff inside and the lighting that spoil it. No offense.

everyone see's things different, just because you did something to the car, doesn't mean the next person will... chances are, they will have to clean everything you did to it so that they can get it looking like it came from the factory.

you would've made more money by keeping it stock and selling it stock compared to now... from what you've done, the only person that will want to buy it now is a high school kid that thinks red interiors and red neons is the hottest thing ever. compared to if you kept it stock, you could've sold it to just about anyone looking for a reliable commuter car...

it's your car though, make whatever you want of it so you can enjoy it, we all do this.

haha its funny you say reliable car, i have had nothing but problems w/ it over the past year. its been in the dealership at least 7x for suspension, break, and engine problems. i got the car cause i have heard nothing but good things about honda and most of my friends drive hondas. so i said why not. that was a big mistake but what ever, honda fixed it all at no cost to me so i cant really complain.

lol well thats good. the biggest prob i have had was the front suspension went bad after 2 months. like the struts, control arms, bushings, knuckles, springs and everything were jacked up. its like i had hydraulics in the front, my car was so damn bouncy lol (honda said something about 01 & 02 had problems w/ the strut and shock assembly and that once those go it all goes downhill from there??)

quick question.. when i look at my car from behind, it seems that one side sits higher than the other. i got out a tape measure and measure it to the back bumper. one side sits (higher or lower idk which one) buy 1/2 in. my uncle suggested measure it to the control are but i haven't had time to do that. honda claims thats normal?
