It seems some people over in the RR/AC forum have been playing for awhile. Maybe there will be enough interest for a league....this time.

It's $20.00 at Best Buy.

Plus the cost of all of the hardware you need to make it run reasonably well on any computer not built within the past month . . . and a wheel & pedal set.

Checking in.

This is a great moment for us, for H-T, and for the interweb community.

Im in different as far as scheduling goes. Im more interested if this is going to be a spec racing series-or if we may do that race to race.

My suggestions would be:

-Porsche 911 GT3 RS SuperCup racing

-Spec Morgan (AKA Gentleman's Cup - this is pretty interesting since no one uses this car online, there are no setups for it. You are on your own and this is a very driver involved car read: handles like crap)

-F360 Challenge

-Spec E46

I figured we'd all run the spec cars, but that the spec car would be a different one each race.

Thats cool. It opens up the possiblity that more than 1 person will dominate a single season because of the transition and adaptation to each particular spec car.

I love this idea.

I've got a 15% off discount price if anyone wants to purchase it.

Orig. Price is $20. You'll probably be saving 3 bucks. Not gonna play myself, nor is it the best deal I can give, but just a heads up.

Reasonably, how many cars can an online session hold? Also, is it gona be impossible to use my gamepad to play this game? How realistic are we gona be?

I like the spec car idea too. Make for a more interesting race season. I'm down for whatever

I can do the Spec Morgan race at 9pm or whenever.

My computer has major slowdowns rendering multiple vehicles on-screen with 10 or more players. I'm well below the minimum system requirements though, so I don't know how it's playing for the guys with newer P4s and Conroes - apparently pretty well, because lots of servers are set up to support up to 28 players and are frequently full by race time.

The digital gamepad isn't too bad as long as you're using traction control and especially ABS. Without driving aids, you're at a big disadvantage unless you have a wheel and pedals.

I have been and will be playing with the gamepad for the time being. I still plan to get a wheel eventually, because analog steering is just so much more precise.

Yeah, same here I have a lot more important things to devote my income to right now than video games.
