Those are the two "commercially" available. You can always get a custom setup from places like Factor X, Performance Autoworks, and Cybernation that have had success to varying degrees.

The custom stuff all depends on who's doing it. Top Ramen had a custom job w/ good results. IIRC, it was one of the first turbos in the community.

All of the turbo cars make over 400 whp. Mine made 580 whp on the "low" pump gas setting.

There are others, but not shippable at this point(fab/install at the shop location).

And I don't think the Comptech supercharger is available at all anymore. So would probably be in the same category as the Basch setup.

Just threw my old silver car on the dyno to re-tune it (made some modifications to the intercooler set-up) and it made 510 whp at 15 psi on my DIY turbo system.

It does remarkably well. I busted some CV joints at the drag strip, but under normal usage, the transmission is not an issue. Cody's car puts down almost a grand and he is using a stock tranny.

From what I have read the CV joints are the weak link.

turbo sounds like it will make more power per dollar. On a stock nsx motor, how fast are they at ~8psi compared to most of the mid-ranged sports cars on the road today?

PSI is only relative to the turbo itself, saying roughly 8psi is completely different between say a little T25 and a GT35R so your question is difficult to answer.

Low 400's hp in an NSX makes it a pretty fast car(good enough for most people). Most likely faster then most "mid-ranged sports cars on the road today".

Wuuzzuuup! I just wanted to throw my opinion in! None of you mentioned the SOS supercharger, or the Gruppe m supercharger! The Comptech is still available at SOS, as well as their much better SOS brand unit! I've done more R&D on all the available systems then anyone I know, & they all have strong points & weak points! My NSX has the Lovefab on it now, & it's proved to be the most reliable system we've tried! My NSX can be viewed on YOUTUBE if you type in DREAMZSPORT NSX, & it happens to be the photo Ponyboy listed is actually my car! I hold title to world's most modified street going NSX, & the YOUTUBE video is my car at over 120 modifications ago!
