Thats exactly what i have 81.5mm pr4's in a b16a block I hope you saw my past threads or at least know that you should grind down your valve reliefs, i am using CTR cams and was hitting my pistons the first time around... being one of the first LS piston'd b16's i had to learn the hard way...

GSR cams should be fine with the stock PR4 reliefs though, right? I need to check my valve-piston clearances, but I heard that I'd be fine -w- B16 or GSR cams, and I have a couple of sets of them sitting around.

I have yet to see anybody confirm it, i always had ctr cams because i originally had a b16b but changed the block for a b16a.

Not sure if this will help any but this is all the information i have:

my setup:
-b16b head unmilled
-b16a block with oem rods and pr4 pistons 81.5mm
-.50 cometic head gasket

After about 500 miles i pulled the head to do valve guide seals and saw that the valves were hitting the pistons on the intake side ONLY, mind you i still managed 317whp at 15psi with a 57trim t3/t4 and 91 octane.

I had 4 bent valves but i would have NEVER known if i didn't pull the head, it ran so strong. Here are some pics so you can see how much mine were actually hitting:

not too bad, all 8 intake valve reliefs had these dings:

Some careful dremelling:

Problem fixed, car had run great ever since, in fact it never actually ran bad, imo the problem is not the depth of the valve reliefs but the size, i just opened mine up outward more. This is kind of why i think everybody should do it, It's because the LS heads have smaller valves so naturally the relief in the piston will be smaller and cant accommodate the vtec valves, i don't think cam size is the issue here, i hope this helps, good luck.

Yeah, I really should have done that, but the motor's already together. I've got to pull the cam caps to put some cam cap alignment dowels in it anyway, so I'll check my piston-valve clearances when I do that.

Well worse case scenario you will have to do what i did, mask everything off and carefully grind the pistons while there still in the car but hopefully you will have no problems
