Default Post up your turbo B16 and feedback on the smallblock.

Id just like to see what kind of feeling you guys have towards the B16. Ive had a LS, LS/VTEC, B20, GSR, and now a B16 in my car and i gotta say that the B16 is one of the more stout motors ive had in there. And right now its only on 7psi. I had the B20 on 12 and this feels better than that. All i did was throw my GSR cams in the B16 before i put it in.

my ghetto back half effort

this is my new setup. old stock sleeve motor made 435whp, and ran 10.43 @ 137 in a shitty ghetto ef hatch. i love the b16, they dont make enough torque to break drivetrain, lol.

I've also had a built 2.0L GSR, and I can honestly say I would rather drive my stock block boosted B16 than anything. With my built GSR head it has roughly a 10.8:1 compresion, and feels like a peppy N/A motor before boost hits.

12psi, 91 octane, pretty much uncorrected (although shootout mode). DynoJet#'s would be at about 350whp.

My old SC61 setup was however just way too laggy for my liking, so I'm currently in the process of switching to a divided GT3082R setup. I'm not looking for the car to be an insane power maker, purpose built drag car. I just want a nice, responsive and high powered CRX street car.

The new manifold:

This is good, I'll be turboing my Ej with a B16A soon and was wondering how well it should hold up.

I was also wondering if the GSR cams made any real diff?

I put my GSR cams in it and everyone says it rolls out pretty hard for a B16, so id say they made some kind of difference.

B16 is one of the best motors I had between the LS and GSR. They are great little motors and they work hard...

I love my stock b16 del sol. 8psi was enough to push to super heavy del sol vtec to a 12.9 at 108 tuned myself with uberdata/plxm300. The b16 is cheap and I cant seem to break it. I love it

i just picked up a full b16 after deciding not to go LSVTEC.

I plan on running a rod/piston/arp headstud/block guard bottom end with valvespring/retainer/ITR cam/Hondata IMG top end. 850cc Injectors.

Most likely a mini ram mani, 3" dp, dt, t3t4 57 trim .63 4bolt, 3" exhaust.

Looking for 300+ on 93 400 on 110-112 on eCtune. 91 DX Hatch Cable B16 .

What do you think?

B16A2/3 cams are different than GSRs. I have gsr's in my A3 and I love them.

I have a 81.5mm b16a3 with rods and pistons and built head with pro 1 cams and it pulls hard. I love my b16...who needs torque when you can rev. it to the moon?? Besides massive torque (like that of an LSVtec) in a front wheel drive vehicle is useless unless you're running slicks all the time....
