I'd say saturday for the meet, just because of the long drive we would have to make from here. Plus I would have to work on Monday, so it would be hard on Sunday.

Yeah, the more people I talk with makes me think maybe I ought to really consider the Saturday. This is gonna be a great meet, and I think having people coming from far away really need it to be saturday. Driving hours, hangin at a long meet, then driving all the way back just sucks.

This meet is gonna be awesome. I've been talking to local people and everyone is really on board here. This is gonna be great the first time around, but imagine how big the second year will be!!

We know about a motel not far from the site where the meet is gonna be. It's cheap, descent, and private, so if stuff gets a little crazy most will look the other way.

Haha thats what i though when i started reading this. I think Saturday would be better in my opinion. Another thing to consider is try to avoid scheduling it the same day as other large meets that have been established a while. I've seen several first-time meets fail miserably just because they were scheduled the same day as a an established annual meet.

last year my friends and i rolled to nashville for import alliance, it was july 14 and 15 (sat sun) we drove up friday and left sunday. there isnt a definite date set for 08 though yet...

GOOOOD thinking people...that'd definitely be tragic to schedule two meets at once, or too close together. Hopefully some type of date is set for other meets in the "somewhat" area, so this can work out well.
