That is the kind of victory that will stay with you for life. Congrats man
Have you considered the Jet-Hot 2000 instead of the HPC?

HPC is junk, go with Swain coatings they have real ceramic coatings.

Nicely done! I've been keeping up on your Coating issues, sucky...I went with a company here in Phx and they have a 2000 degree coating and looks nice, similar to the sterrling from Jet hot but not as costly.. I paid $250 for my top mount, T4 housing and a 4" 7' long Down pipe. Came out nicely.. here is a shot

why would you be charged for shipping your defunk HPC coated hardware when it is under warranty?
Sounds like it's not a complete warranty to me. Just having a business oriented perspective. BTW...awesome job on the win and dealing with all those issues. Thanks goodness for helpful people.

Congrads on the win, it's nice to see results for all your hard work.
As far as the nuts backing out, I go through these same issues on our race boats. Safety wire is nice if it's a part you aren't taking often. Also look into "stover nuts" I use them on anything that gets too hot for a nyloc nut. Also i was looking through that other thread about the bolts loosening and saw that someone posted they had issues with galling when using stainless nuts. If you thread stainless onto stainless it will gall easily, you have to use some sort of teflon paste on the threads. The last thing you want is having to remove a galled nut in a hard to reach place.

congrats on the win man. its seems as if we share the same luck cause almost every time i read your post something is going wrong. that was sweet finding that tranny at the track i would have been screwed 7 hours from home with no upper gears makes for a long ride home. i'm done for the season but maybe next year i'll see you there.

I'll look into the 'stover nuts'. Sound interesting
I've got a full-size 20mm thick Koyo(?) or Koyo copy. FYI: I took my tires out of the back and found this on one of them: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, well. At least these where my 'cheap' Rota rims. ![]() Manifold if off and ready to ship back to F/R: ![]() ![]() Going to the HPC Extreme coating (which is what I asked for in the first place ironically) and hopefully it will be covered under warranty. |
