Why would you install nitrous and not take the proper precautions, such as retarding the timing and running colder plugs?

Anyone ever heard of the NOS sniper kit?

I just bought my NOS 4-cyl direct port kit and my friend wants to spray on his motor as well and he saw the NOS sniper kit and asked me about it but i dont know anything about it just wanted to know what you guys think about it.

They say it is the brand NOS . with an orange bottle.
any opinions?

Very reliable and I would say about 50whp more than stock.

Since finally finding this popular to mention but hard to find thread, i have spent the past 3 days reading it and i have made it page to 34 and I'm ready for my dp system, starting w a low shot (60-80) of course but would love the option of a larger shot for my 11:1.1 stock h22, which brings me to the seperate c16/fuel system that I feel (as mentioned ~p29) can be put together for fairly inexpensive, so my ? is, what all do you to complete a working system besides a cell, sump, pump, lines, fittings? who has a parts list, what kind/type of pump. ???

Thanks, and 1700 n2o balla thanks for your dedication to nitrous education.

i was mainly wondering about the electrical side of it, I guess it's be armed w/ the bottle/solnoids but not actuvated til w.o.t and n2o? then have a return side (how?) and then disarm w/ sysstem?

With my truck, there are 2 fuel pumps.. One is on all the time and the other is on a switch, so it can be turned on when were spraying. It's carb'd so no return line needed.

The pump will be wired into the the same arming switch as the N2O system ( the solenoids). From there you go to the regulator then to the noids. The return isnt necessary. I was thinking the same thing until Ghostofnyc taught me. ( look out ghost, i'm learning. lol).

What u can do is plug the return of the regulator and just feed the normal line to the noids and u should be fine.

Research your regulators and look for one that can be used inline and doesnt require a return, Aeromotive is a good one and i think AEM.

and the n2o coming from 1200 psi bottle meets the manifold the same time as the fuel who just had 0 psi a split second before? sorry for the silly ?'s just thought the fuel pressure would need to be there before the nitrous is touched, as 45 psi fuel side (thats not there yet) woudn't meet the n20 on time?

or is this just the way to avoid a return system?
I wonder if my brothers meth kit on his s/c SS truck would spray c16 in my civic, cause it's for sale. . .

Why wouldnt it reach it in time.... when u start you car there is 0 pressure and from the time u turn the key there is 38+ psi on tap.

so once u arm your setup and the pump starts to suck and you regulator is set u will have pressure.

Yep, sucks.

THe way this is avoided is with a NOS style dry system. You have 2 nitrous solenoids, no fuel solenoid.

The first nitrous solenoid bleeds nitrous to NOS's fuel pressure regulator, once the fuel pressure is high enough, it opens and allows the nitrous to flow into the other solenoid.

THUS, your car will actually run RICH for a split second rather than it run lean, THEN the fuel kicks up.

At least thats my understanding of it. One of the reasons I've went with a dry system.
