OK I have an EP3 wheel I want to install but when I got to the part in the DIY after you remove the 19MM center nut and then the two red/orange screws I get stuck. My set-up does NOT have those 2 screws and the steering wheel won't just come off after I remove the 19mm nut. Has anyone ever hit this snag? I need help please.

What year is your civic? My 01 pulled right off with no prob. You may need to get a steering wheel puller.

I have an 03. It seems like there's some sort of locking bushing around the steering wheel nut. Grr this is annoying. Anyone else have any thoughts?

well, i just picked up a 01-05 2dr/4dr service manual and it says something about a steering wheel puller, just like Sfedai0 said. maybe its cuz the 01 have been worked in more. lol. so the steering wheel is loose.
