I thought I would do a detailed write up of my 5 spd 95 DC Integra with the In's and Out's of installing the H22A motor with the H22A transmission with keeping the passenger side chassis bracket (modifying). I get a lot of questions on this swap with this certain kit and thought I would share the information as I go along with my swap.
95 Acura Inegra LS ABS 91 JDM H22A Engine and Trans NoN LSD ESP EG/DC H22A motor mount kit ESP EG/DC H22A Front Torque Mount Kit Traction Bar System Use the factory passenger side Pilot Hole that all EG/DC's have as the new through bolt location 1/2" drill bit will do the job ![]() Coming out from the chassis on the rear ear 2" is where to make the cut so the shifter assembly will clear. You can leave the front ear alone. ![]() Finished result ![]() Rear engine mount in and Prelude 5 spd H22/H23 rear bracket. Accord (F series) 5 spd rear bracket won't work it's different. Easier to install both as a unit. But goes in like butter. ![]() Firewall Clearance. No issues here with the Stock Manifold. Fuel Filter needs to be either relocated or carefully bent down under the Air Intake Pipe. ![]() Here is a picture of the driver side clearance between the shock tower and valve cover atleast 1/2". No issues of the mount it self hitting the chassis bracket. ![]() This is to show the power steering clearance about 1/8" between belt and chassis with factory H22A bracket. Using a 3 ribbed belt in 40" length is needed rather then the factory 4 ribbed belt. Yes it's a tight squeeze. Modifying the lines excepting the H22A PS pump is needed. AC will also work with the factory brackets and possibly needing to modify the lines. ![]() Another picture of the Power Steering installed. Headlight clearance is plenty. ![]() Sitting level and straight in the bay. Engine sits back much like in the Prelude chassis. ![]() Ground Clearance with factory springs and shocks. ![]() I will discuss axle solutions soon... as well as installing our EG/DC Front Torque Mount Kit Traction Bar System Modified by ESP.net at 6:06 PM 9/17/2007

Looks like an even crappier knockoff of the old HCP kit, whats the point, there are plenty of more professional options already out there..

I would personally pay the extra money for billet aluminum mounts in this situation.

As I promised here are the pictures. After replacing the coil it fired up. Runs good and quiet with the stock header and integra exhaust for now. Only thing keepin me from driving it is my SS clutch line kit, I'll have it on Friday Thanks Janer Performance! Hood clearance is about an inch and half at highest point. The H22A engine/trans are large even in the EG/DC bay. I used a Prelude Shifter assembly and cables. A buddy gave it to me with the short shifter mechanism already on it. The power steering line is a custom Integra one with 5" added in length and also has the Prelude fitting added on the pump side. I got it done with AN fittings for a little less then $100. Most brake shops or hydralic shops should be able to do the job.
Engine bay...paint is Rio Red same color as my Rex... ![]() Power steering working nicely with the 3 ribbed belt... ![]() ![]() ESP EG/DC H22A Traction Bar System with Front Torque Mount Kit... ![]() ![]() Traction Bar is hiding... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I like this picture so I thought I'd post it when I was building it... 2 cars powered by the H22... if anyone has some matching wheels on my Rex hit me up so I can make them twins haha ![]() Modified by ESP.net at 9:02 PM 10/4/2007

I drove the car up and down the street yesterday a few times no axle issues...nottin...drives nice...first honda with power steering makes it nice...
I put the Euro R/Type S valve cover on... learn something new every day I didn't know there was a difference between the Euro R and Type S valve cover but there is...a boss comes off the front of the Euro R valve cover where as the Type S doesn't have it.
