Their won't be any discrepancies going from LX to DX, or any other model for that matter. The year made, makes the difference.

I believe the most predominant reason for "bouncy" coilovers is a tremendous amount of spring rate. Dampers aren't really the main issue, but when guys are riding on 12k / 8k springs and wondering why their car feels like a frisbee skidding across the ground, theres really no question as of why.

since this thread was made for suspension FAQ's.

Which rear camber kit would anyone recommend?
I found a few but not sure what to go towards.
There's: Megan Racing, Skunk 2, SPC. That I know of
Any suggestions. Anyone who has any of 3 or others.
Any problems with the camber kits and so forth.
My car is only on skunk 2 lower springs and my rear cambers like
a girl leaving her legs wide open. And I'm ready to put on a rear camber kit.
And also, is it hard to install the camber kit in the rear?

How far do the Sport Lines drop the car? As stated in the first post:

- A: Most anyone should get them as soon as they lower the vehicle, but as far as true necessity goes, you will start to need a rear camber kit once you reach the 1.5" drop and beyond. The reason being, that the rear wheels will start to camber out past the 3 degrees of acceptability. It is also recommended to wait a period of a couple weeks to allow for the new suspension setup to "settle", before getting an alignment and adjusting the camber.

I will add some hybrid related info when I find it.

I do know the rear of the hybrids are heavier - but not found a suspension part difference yet! (springs or shocks)

whatever you deem fit to be safe / tolerable for your local roads. we can't hold your hand through that one. Take into account how bad your local roads are paved, number and severity of potholes and how you like your car to look and feel and find a spring that appeases all of them, not just one or two. trust me, i hear people say all the time ' oh i can live with slowing down for embankments or crawling over speed bumps', yet almost all of them three months later pick there car up off the ground and actually start enjoying it again.

I have a question. I just got some of the Tein Stech springs for my car and was looking at one of the struts while changing the alternator and it has blowed (which explains the bumping noise when hitting little bumps) but I was going to put the springs on the stock struts till I could get something else BUT plans have changed.

What brand of shock/struts do you guys recommend going with just lowering springs? I see the Koni Yellows, the HP's and things but they are just inserts?? I figured these cars was all made one piece? I don't know but just wondering what strut/shocks should I get that will work with the Tein springs? BTW I live in an area with bumps and I live on a ruff dirt road so I need something that isn't a POS new! lol

Thanks for any help,
NicholasE

Ground Control coilovers are just sleeves for the EM2. You still need to do strut replacement.

PS. If you were looking at GC's site, they trimmed the bottom perch, so that might have thrown you off. http://www.ground-control-stor...s.jpg

im thinking about getting skunk2 coilovers with the ingalls camber kit, but their (bolt on?) is this correct? they make camber kit bolt on's? instead of the whole U shape etc... do they work just as fine as the other U shape camber kits

I have no idea what "U-shape" camber kit you're talking about, but the Ingall's front camber kit is a high-lobe bolt, and the rear kit is an adjustable length upper control arm.
