Nice to hear that you had a weekend to get some good runs in on the beast. Seat time is always a good thing.

Was Dan up there to help out with any tuning issues? He would have been able to raise your RPM limit while you were between runs.

I didn't bother asking him about it. He was busy getting his record back and then blowing second gear out of his transmission

Some people say it ain't racing unless you break something......I know one thing, I'd like to have the money that those people have.

You'll have to get up there for one of those test and tune nights if he's up there to get her dialed in.

x2 7500 is way to early. Its not about where the power falls off, its where the rpm's land in the next gear. IMO 22s are too small even for stock h22's.

Thanks boss, I wasn't too disappointed for my first time at the track ever, especially since i was running out of rpm really bad.

The engine ended up making peak power at about 6900 or so, and it starts to fall off pretty bad after that. I'm looking at a 3 hour drive to get to the dyno to tune for an extra 1000rpm, or just buy a taller slick, when i need a new set anyways.

I would just go and retune, but this setup will only last for the rest of the summer, and over the winter she's getting one of those stubby manifolds.

its this thread, ak's, 88ED's, and redzc's thread that want to build one so badly...

I need to find a cheap ef shell. Right now i have everything for a b16 swap, so that means all i need to do is sell the longblock and get the adapter and longblock.

f22a turbo w/ b16 cable trans sounds good to me

Hey, How's the beast running? Your mid summer tune still holding up in this cooler weather?

It's getting closer to that time of year when you start thinking about putting her away for the winter build eh!

Nice hood man! I would expect atleast a 12 from an h2b, but not bad at all for your first time.

The height issue... Was that caused mostly by the H2B kit? I am looking to put a H22a motor and box in an ED civic (Aus spec EF, but carby) and I was wondering if the height issue would be as large when using both the H22a motor and box together?

Looking forward to vids....

H2B is that causes the height. A H motor with matching transmission fit under the hood and has enough ground clearance to drive.
