I'm betting there are more parts that were optional on the EL than most people might expect.
I have an FSM on my computer I can have it sent over.

Basically, there were 3 models:
Base, Sport and Premium
and the 97-98 models were slightly different than the 99-00

I pretty much know everything there is to know about them, all the special things they got, etc etc. I can help you make the list if you are interested.

Air conditioning is optional for all trims that it didn't come standard on. I just noticed I forgot to mark that down for sedans.

And to the guy above, I have the 1.6EL FSM. I need the Canadian EPC.

Sorry for the retarded question, but what does EPC stand for?

Oh, sorry. I use the term so much I don't even think about it.

EPC = Electronic Parts Catalog

And for anyone else who doesn't know:

FSM = Factory Service Manual

Good post. 99-00 Si/SiR have a 4.4 and not the 4.2 FD, though. This was a correction in the Helms update.

Great info.

I have a set of 99-00 Civic Si wheels to go on my 92 Civic Si. I need to buy some tires, and don't know the size.

I refered to this thread, and didn't see anything about what sizes come stock on the wheels. Maybe thats something you could add to your list.

Awesome thread

Try checking or posting in the fourth gen section.

Here is a link from the FAQ in the correct section.

All hatchbacks were built in Canada, as were some sedans. Coupes and some sedans were built in Ohio. And then some sedans were built in Japan.

I believe all Canadian sold vehicles would have daytime running lights.

Otherwise a previous owner probably just had it all paint matched.

I Just realized in all years 96-00 Honda of Japan Assembly plant produced the sedan every year, but NEVER produced the hatch or coupe for USA distribution.

Yep. All coupes were built in the US, all hatches in Canada, and sedans... well, they're weird.

Looks like only '97-'00 sedans were built in Japan btw. So no 1996.

1996-2000 USDM/Canadian coupe - Built in US

1996-2000 USDM/Canadian hatch - Built in Canada

1996 USDM sedan - Built in US or Canada
1997-2000 USDM sedan - Built in US, Canada or Japan
1996-1997 Canadian sedan - Built in US
1998-2000 Canadian sedan - Built in Canada or Japan

Random question, but does the 6th gen sedan spoiler fit on a coupe?

No idea. You might get a better answer if you make your own thread about it though. That would call more attention to your question.

Because you live in Cuba and Civics in Cuba are not the same as Civics in the United States. This list only works for the United States cars.
