Default Welcome home: 98-1040 Let the rebuild begin!

Guys, I'm the proud owner for 98-1040 as of today. Two years ago this car had inlinepro built turbo setup making 550whp and was in immaculate condition. Fast forward to the present, and three crappy owners later and this is what you have:

Car has clean title, full interior, and a full suspension on borrowed 98' wheels. This was a deal I couldn't pass up and I am eager to get the build started. However, I took out a personal loan to get it so I will not have any updates until this car, and the remaining balance on my gs-r is paid off. (About 6k total.)

In the meantime, the car is going to be stripped of its valuables so that no one else can take them. It will kept undercover in an undisclosed location.

I can't wait. I want to source CW body parts to replace the banged up exterior, and I am debating on buying new parts from Len for the motor or buying a jdm swap. I might buy a full front end cut...I might save money that way haha.

Dream R: Thanks for R's trip down memory lane. Believe it or not, I almost bought this car before Zong traded it for the R33. I do not know its full history in between hands, but the evidence is clear.

Casey: Thanks again, I can't wait to start on it. I will let you know asap on the front bumper. If you want those wheels, they can be yours for $500. If you are interested, I can give you the full scoop and go take pictures for you if you would like.

AllmotaR: Thanks for the heads up on the jdm status, but I did a full jdm-front conversion on my gs-r so I have experience with this front end. At this point, I am looking at just ordering a new front since I am in need of almost every part for the front end minus the headlights.

It's amazing how a car can be so quickly trashed by kids out there. Good Luck in bringing back in shape.

Update: Car has been stripped of valuables, and they are now in storage while I pay the car off. Several items off the car are for sale and will be replaced with a new front end, jdm recaros, and OEM parts like the lower tie bar etc.

Through the last 3-4 owners the car was not maintened at all. Through these owners motors were blown, the body took heavy damage, motors were swapped-reblown, and parts were sold off.

I bought the car without the motor, which consisted of an lsvtec setup with a spun rod bearing. The car looks much better in pictures but body has serious hail damage, dents on the rear quarter, and the trunk at one point had a ridiculous spoiler. After further investigation, I pretty much need an entire JDM front minus one fender and the hood. At this point I am selling the parts so I can pay off the loan and save for a jdm front.

I will find some pictures of my gs-r and post them.
