thats cool you build stairs. I have done a few big sets this year and it wasnt as easy as it looks.

I see what you are saying about the braces but I still think I would ruin your table if I had it. We just do different types of metal fab i guess. looks good, happy welding

Yeah, it's not all that easy...but then again it's much easier than tig'in a stainless manifold

The stairs I build are pretty straight forward, and not all that complicated. We actually use sheet metal steps that get filled with concrete so they arn't all that heavy.

Damn that shit is pimp!

I used to build stairs actually. It's kind of fun to do eliptical and curved ones. Straight balcony railings are kind of blaaaaaa but I'm sure you've figured that one out by now lol.

Got any finished product pics? I used to contract a lot for American Midwest Stair in Grand Rapids, MI. I know one of the owners brothers owned a similiar business in CO called American Stair or something like that.

Just a random thought. There really aren't that many companies that specialize in stair work these days.

Yes it is waaaaaayy easier than building manifolds lol.

Sheetmetal fab is even easier

Yeah I was making balcony rails for a single job site for almost 4 months. I was SOOO glad when we were finally finished with those damn things. For some reason they wanted these rails made from solid steel, and most were over a 140". Talk about a pain the ass.

But yeah our comapny is pretty new, and actually has a patented stair core product. We arn't even advertising yet, and getting lots of work. I definetly see these being big in the future.

Haha. It probubly won't need to be relocated, but we have 12ft wide doors at our shop which makes it fairly easy. I actually had to relocate the table in this shop from our other bay where I made the frame, so I know it's possible. I simply used our overhead crane to drop it onto a trailer, then backed the trailer up into my shop with a fork lift. Once in the shop I used our crane to get it off, and then positioned it with the forklift. Easy as pie.

Thanks! Considering a lot of people here are using 1/2" to 2" thick plate for a table...you could consider this thing light for 20ft long...lol.
