Default King Motorsports Intake Manifold studs? PUHLEASE

You may be willing to spend $39.99 for this stupid kit. I'm not.

Mcmaster.com part numbers
92029A325 order two of these for $8.10 each. 40mm set screw of M8-1.25 in 316 stainless
95610A180 order one set of these for $5.64 you'll get 100 plastic washers.

Here you go, $21.84 total and you get 316 stainless instead of 18-8.

Use your stock intake manifold nuts and you'll save yourself $1.50
or if you feel the need to have fresh looking nuts here's the p/n from honda
94050-08080, $0.15 a piece, order 10 of them.

$23.34 plus shipping (which I bet will be cheaper and faster than king's)

King Motorsports now hates me

Nice.

I bought mine from King when I was assembling my motor because they were already together and I needed something quick. This could have saved me some cash.

When I order from mcmaster they have warehouses all across the country. If I order by 7pm with standard shipping it arrives within 24 hours

I get my product before my bank account can respond to it lol.

Kind of an odd fact for you, Bense: I work 3 minutes North of King Motorsports.

I was going to have my swap done there, but they were "too busy for me". I guess the big wad of cash in my hand was unappealing to them. Plus, they never called me to say they even wanted my business.

Yeah, I got the swap done by myself. I'm half-tempted to drive it over there and say, "Thanks for the swap."

just send them an email to this thread

PS: The stock stud is 38mm long. about 1-1.5mm of it isn't threaded. I'm willing that their "product feature" about the studs being slightly longer for "hondata intake manifold usage" is only because mcmaster doesn't offer them in 38mm and they offer them in 40mm.

Bense;

I'd bet that I'm also on King's black list due to my stating that the Mugen bushings are the exact same as what is sold by the Dealer.

Thats called a buisness making money, the markup on their end is not unreasonable. For a quality stainless steel stud kit with new oem nuts I think its still a good price. If they sold for $30 and they only made a couple bucks would you still be disappointed?

I'll tell you what, send me 17 bucks and we'll call it a deal.

If you use your brain, you can save money

Dont use your brain, and the middle man will own you. The reason that KMS sells these kits is because most people aren't going to know where to look and take the measurements.

This is where this post comes in. Showing others where to look and the results of using your brain.

I wanted the power and the gearing of k-series but I didn't feel like spending lots of money, here's a very cost effective alternative.
