Default Extended shifter ghetto fab style

YEAH BUDDY, I'm gonna get this to work pretty swell like

Total investment less than $20 No need for that stupid 150 dollar shifter.

Mcmaster.com part numbers choose your material wisely, you have the following options

Coupling Nut
$3.07 - 93355A110 - 38mm M10-1.5 coupling nut - unfinished steel
$6.66 - 93590A230 - 38mm M10-1.5 coupling nut - stainless steel

Threaded Rod M10-1.5 yes this is the thread size + pitch of our honda shift knobs
$12.41 - 99067A251 - 1 meter of M10-1.5 threaded rod in grade 8.8 zinc steel non- blingage
$15.02 - 90024A090 - 1 meter of M10-1.5 threaded rod in 18-8 stainless steel (some blingage)
$22.67 - 94185A165 - 1 meter of M10-1.5 threaded rod in 316 stainless steel (more blingage)
$26.38 - 90162A090 - 1 meter of M10-1.5 threaded rod in brass (too much blingage)

I got the 18-8 stainless rod with the stainless nut.

How does it work? I don't know. This is what happens when ADHD + waiting for parts + time away from the computer leads to:

Clever.

What im doing is cutting half of 2 shifters and welding a top piece to a bottom, but this seems alot easier.

Quite ghetto.

For my money, I'd rather have the Circuit//Hero extender ... but that's just me.

Whatever rocks your chocolate.

Brings the shifter closer to the steering wheel, minimizing the time your hands are off the wheel while road racing.

I've never worried about breaking a 6061 shifter .... and it doesn't look like a bent bolt.

NICe

i'd 100% do it, if i hadnt gotten my FLP one for 57 shipped (i have no idea why he sold it so cheap, brand new too)..

with a shorty-short shifter, that'd feel nearly identical i'm sure
