BUMP. I was able to fab up some rear sway bar brackets using the factory tow hooks. It sucks that the DX never came with swaybar mounts, but I think these brackets will be much beefier than the stock stuff anyways.

...But I don't have pics yet. DAMN IT!

I get all of mine through Mcmaster Carr. They are by far the cheapest, have the largest selection, and you'll almost always get your parts the next day!

For the brace setup I used an anodized aluminum link. As for the sway bar, I used a stainless steel link with a teflon lined race. I'd reccomend the stainless links for something thats going to see a lot of force.

lol...I don't have time to work on this pos...haha.

But I'll have some updates here soon. I sold my SC61, and am getting a GT3040R and swapping to a divided T3 housing. I'll be building a new style of manifold for it...should be SICK!

Updated weekly... HA!

But...now that I've finally graduated college, I now have time to finish this damn project car. The fallowing parts are either in my garage waiting or in the mail:

- ATP divided T3 housing
- 3" V band down pipe parts with 24" resonator
- 1.5" dump tube parts
- aluminum stock to be able to mod the endtank of my IC
- Coolant lines for the turbo
- rear brembro brake rotors
- Axxis metal master pads
- SI E brake cables
- rear SS brake lines
- new OEM rubber trailing arm bushings
- complete Polyurethane bushings for the rest of the rear sus
- Blox LCAs in black
- Blox extended lugs
- Blox lug nuts
- Heim joints for the rear sway bar

Once I finish all that crap, it'll be time to tune the car on E85 and finally install my 8pt cage.

I have heard of alot of people going with this setup for the bushings. I was thinking about trying this setup also. Have you had/seen this setup before? Pretty good?

Blox LCA's seem like a good choice also!

It's awsome. I had the same setup on my 91 SI hatch minus the blox LCAs. It drove like a dream. It was tight, but had good travel and overall ride quality because there was nothing binding like there would be with spherical or poly trailing arm bushings. The Blox LCAs are definetly a good buy. For the price of new OEM bushings and getting them pressed in, you could simply buy the blox units.

I've had a 10pt S&W cage sitting in my garage for the past 2 years lol. I'm only going to be installing the 8pt part though and adding removeable door bars since I've changed my focus to more street car than race car.

BTW, if you or anyone else is looking to add onto their 6-8pt cage, I am looking to get rid of the front peices. That is the A pilar bars, and the head hoop. Plus I have the SFI window screen with the locking mechanism.

i am trying to decide which route to go myself, the 8 or the 10pnt. i'm leaning towards the 8 for the same reasons as you, i want to still be able to street drive the thing without worrying about severe brain damage and the fact that i think my current setup wont go fast enough to warrant the extra bars. did you ever mock up the 10pnt? the bars along the roof and a-pillar seems to get pretty close to your head with the pre-made kits.

i've also been told the swing out kits are a pita, they like to rattle and make a bunch of noise, but dont know first hand.

Thats exactly why I chose the 8pt route. I'm 6'2 and the head bar would be almost 2" away from my head when I'm NOT wearing a helmet. When I would be wearing my helmet the bar would literally be resting on the helmet. and...I seriously don't feel like wearing helmet every time I wanna cruise the car around.

I honestly havn't looked much into the swing out door bars. I'll probubly end up just welding them in. After all, its not entirely obtrusive to have to climb over the bar

Nope. I think NHRA says they can only have 1 bend. I don't think they'd be able to bend around the panels with just one bend. This is also another reason why I'm thinking just running a rear roll bar instead of the cage. Hrmm...what to do what to do.

Awesome manifolds man. It's great you've continued to innovate new products for the EF. Helps keep turbo enthusiasts alive. I thought the top mount you sold me was bad ass. Now you have to come up with even sicker manifolds. I love my top mount but I'm really liking that divided manifold. Looks like my top mount will be for sale soon. Let me know if you need any OEM Honda parts such as those suspension bushings. I'm a tech at Planet Honda so I can get you anything at employee prices. Bring those trailing arms with you if your ever down here again. I'll hook you up and press the bushings out for you at the shop.

Right on man. If I would have known you worked down there I wouldn't have placed my order with someone else already...lol. But I might have to take you up on that deal to press the busings out/in. I'll let you know man!

Hej Bryson,
Great work man. Your engine bay looks very clean. Even without a wire tuck. I like your Apple paint engine cover. And your new manifold looks awesome too!

I am a bit of curious about the route of your intercooler piping. Is it possible to make some more pictures of it?

BUMP!!!

What the F**K is a build thread without pics???......

Got the engine bay coated:

Pics of the turdblow (30/40R with divided ATP housing) :

Misc parts, DP, oil lines, fittings...blah:

The next step... Trying to get this damn divided WG setup finished!

Rear disc swap, blox studs, open lugs, custom sway bar swap, exhaust modification...blah:

And I don't think I have ever shared a pic of my battery relocation. It definetly ranks as one of the best mods I've done. It's amazing how much it improves steering feel.

And for my other project... Ever since I cracked my mongoose FR frame, I've been itching to get a new bike. A couple weekends a go, me and the girl went shopping! It's an 08 Giant Rincon, with upgraded Loco wheelset, Marzocchi drop off 2 fork, and XT hardware. I still need to swap my BB7 disc brakes over, but it's definetly a SICK bike, and for litterally half of what some other bikes cost. My GFs is a 08 GT Avalanche with the factory parts. We got her bike for 45% off! Now just to wait for the snow to melt

ENJOI!!!!!!!
