Default ***Official F22B Turbo Thread***

I did a search and didn't really find a thread to all the f22 turbo's out there.

Post your specs and pics if you got them. Wanna see how many people are rockin the f22!

I guess I'll start the thread.
I got a 96 Prelude:
Stock Head/Block
Turbonetics Turbo Kit T3/T4 at 9psi
Competition Clutch Stage 4
8lb Lightened Flywheel

So far my best time on the track has been a 14.5 at 96mph.

Haven't dynoed it at 9psi but at 5psi I put down 185whp and 205wtq.
Here is a quick pic that I took awhile back.

It's not too bad. Can't wait till I put in the new injectors and new intake manifold and see what I can do on stock motor.

Then ofcourse I get to build one! :D

never dyno tuned... just street tuned... but i think it's around 280+ because I have beaten Evo's, Sti's, and other boosted cars that have 310hp+.

check this thread out for vids and more race stories...

search harder for what? the people that i wanted to ask the question of are right here. i know you CAN run a stock block and sleeves i was doing it before, but now my engine is in need of a rebuild and seeing how my setup is very close to the setup being run by rhdune16 i was interested in seeing if he resleeved. so i am confused on what to search for. sorry for the rant but "search harder" really didnt apply there.

BONE STOCK f22b1 motor from valve cover to pan besides a turbo kit and fuel management. Custom turbo kit, garrett 60-1, 450cc injectors, big spearco, blah, blah, blah... which is my old setup now...

Made 335whp/ 280trq on the dyno, before we ran out of injector.

Edit: Oh yeah and most people just clean up the stock sleeves with a slight overbore and then they put in good internals from what I have seen.

Be aware, if your going to shoot for around or at 300+ whp... I would get a set of good headstuds, cheap saftey precaution to avoid lifting the head just past the power level I was at (which I found out after about a year of running at that power level, boost spike ownd me and lifted the head).

Also the ring landings are typical honda, they are the only other real weak point imo... good fuel management and tuning is a must (as with any turbo car). Fortunately with the iron sleeves, 8.8:1 compression, etc. they are pretty boost friendly, for the most part (besides the afore mentioned).

Careful dont suck the dog into the intake

Im not doin as sweet of a build as that... props. We got a bunch of extra parts laying around to do it, just need a mani and rig up some ic piping. With the compressor on the passenger side the piping is a little different than most lol.

I didn't know if you ment complete F22 engine or just f22 block . I have a f22b2 block with h22a1 head. Sc44 turbo ram horn mani, 11psi. after 2 years all is holding up well. I am really going to make it a priority to get to the track and dyno for some numbers. Def see some nice F setups in here!

Oh, well thats cool. I was just curious, ima try and do this build as cheap as possible using spare parts in the garage

I wish i had a welder, that would come in handy for the piping and maybe even a manifold lol.

i love my f22 turbo.

especially cause its mated to a d16 trans and only has to pull a 90 civic around. these fricken engines have such a nice powerband.

We wanted to swap an H22 in his accord and boost it... would have been funny as hell. total sleeper in a 4dr heavy *** car. Just was too expensive and not very cost effective. Its a good daily driver/grocery getter, but it would be more fun to have it boosted and not be getting walked on all the time.

I think it would be cool to have a half way decent parts/grocery getter. It needs some more ***** lol. Bump for more setups
