I do believe "Honda" had a six speed before the NSX.

The wagon tranny uses a double countershaft design........

Was it a sequential six speed in the conventional sense?

So not your general purpose 6-speed sequential gearbox. It's basically 1-2-3 Lo ; 1-2-3 Hi.

no, SL-1 on one shaft, 2-3-4-5 on another.

I'll dig up the manual for review.

Interesting. I would really like to see that actually. Not exactly a sequential gearbox, but very snazzy.

nothing Honda automotive has a sequential gearbox, except open wheel race cars.

Perhaps I'm using the wrong terminology. I'm talking about sequentially numbered gears (1-2-3-4-5-6-R) as opposed to things that have towing/low gears which are outside of your typical shifting sequence.

It's just a number.

All numbers that my list doesn't care about anyway. Notice none of the listings have any detail on how many gears the transmissions have. It just lists manual or automatic (or possibly CVT).

I didnt know we were only talking sequential gears. But i assumed the reason reverse wasnt counted was because we only count forward gears. SL is great for heavy traffic

Then its safe to say that the ef5 came in both automatic and manual.

I know the EF5 RTi J came in MT only, as per what the JDM EPC states. I can change the unknown spec for the EF5 RTi, but it won't show up in the thread until the next time I get to update (which is a lot of work, what with the screenshots and watermarks).

according to your chart the DA3 89' Integra USDM LS has a B18. My 89' Integra LS has a D16A1 in it and it was a factory motor. Either your info on that is wrong or I have a freak of manufacturing nature.

It's very difficult to get that many things correct when there's so much misinformation out there about so many of the cars.

I'd confirm that in the Integra section.

The chassis code is in the VIN. Fourth, fifth and sixth digits.

It should be an EH6 though. del Sols came with different engines for different years, such as the D16Z6 for some years and the D16Y8 for others and the B16A3 for some years and the B16A2 for others. I've received conflicting information on what engines came for what years though. I could probably figure it out if I found one year for sure comes with X engine and then by comparing block part numbers or something.
