In conclusion this means that you will need to have the installation performed by an authorized dealer/installer who has the Palm and accompanying software. An alarm is not necessary for it to function, but w/out an alarm basically all it is is a locating device that can also unlock your doors and can have the starter disabled by GPS on request. With an alarm, it detects the alarm going off and sends a notification.
Is there a list of the palms that work with software? I went to the Viper website and can't really anything about a palm on there.

great info!

FYI, the lojack cost $1000 installed for the basic one, the $1200 one comes with EARLY WARNING, which has a remote and the remote must be in the car whenever you started.

LoJack technician will come to your house or office to install the system.

so, looks like I will go to BESTBUY to get DEI and call LoJack to schedule the installation

Say.. if i do purchase a DEI alarm... and the installers are installing it or planning to install it under the dash what should i probably tell them? Since locating it in the Dash is a bad idea. Where else can they put it or do I have the authority to tell them to? Help?...

I install the unit on the firewall or behind the dash. You can not see it or get to it.

Firewall is that metal thing right under where the legs go right? If so mine is not really put together. Its bent on one side because I was an idiot. But other then that on your avatar, that's the alarm i want running w/ out remote start. Also I need actuators installed also, could be expensive but worth it

Just buy a Ravelco or Revelco alarm $400 installed and they come to your house and install it.

No batteries to maintain just a small circle plug key that you keep with you

They quote them self as not having one car ever stolen in their 20 year history

All wires are black and match your engine bay wires

Anyone know a good installer in the Santa Clarita Valley? Still undecided on which alarm to get.

^^ After countless attempts on trying to figure out what alarm I should get, I'm getting one installed today. (FINALLY) Its going to be the Clifford Matrix 12.5 alarm. A good installer should be any authorized dealer employee installer in your area. But whatever alarm you choose depends on your budget. But you'll be happy with any alarm.
