Terrance is coming over today (Friday) and so we should be getting some work done.
I've been slacking on the welding because my main welder broke (I think the motherboard fried - lame.) so I have to resort to my crap-tastic backup- a HF Fluxcore. Gotta get that patch welded in on the passenger side and filled before we can actually spray the bay, but it'll happen soon. Picture updates later today!

He had to leave early so he couldn't do the update, but heres some shots from today.
First off we got the car on the ground. I got the MAP wired in. had to wire it from near scratch. The engine harness had no provisions for MAP, So I dug into the vehicle harness and found some wires that might work.... we'll see! ![]() ![]() And as I was doing that Terrance got the interior put back together: ![]() We attempted to start it but the fuel pump wasn't turning on. We pulled the tank cover and made sure the previous owner hadn't left anything unplugged or if there was even a pump there at ALL. And it all checked out. Also checked the main relay, using a known-good one, and it still wouldn't turn on. Also, the key isn't turning the starter over either. Got a little more diagnosing to do, but it should be running soon. And heres some shots of Aeris. Pretty much ready to go! Needs more putty and a little more sanding, but we went ahead and got it ready for spraying since that stuff won't take long anyway. (Didn't have any putty on hand.) ![]() ![]() ![]() Looks a LOT better all 1 color don't it?? ![]() -Andrew

I'm not particularly fond of street racing. At the track, yes but not so much on the street.

I've lost a friend in street racing and I think about that often. But then, when somebody asks me what I've done to my car and stuff and I tell em.. then they ask " Well, why do it if you aren't going to race it?" Answer is simply: It's nice to have something fun to drive. Which I am seriously wanting to drive my Teg again!!!! |

Oh you can still race the hell out of it. Thats what legal tracks are for. Plus when you beat someone on a legal course a time slip is much better proof than someone turning their hazards on or passing other cars at high speeds. I think everyone's done it for sure. its learning how to curb the habit before things go wrong. I feel you with the driving urge but in a different way. Almost time to put it away for winter and its a saddening feeling.

I'm glad to see you still have a lot of projects going on. It is always interesting to see how they evolve over time.

Well, not much to update guys. Andrew and I are trying to get that civic I bought up N running so we can sell it and make some $$$, so Aeris has taken a back seat for the time being.
![]() Hopefully I can start back in a week or so. |

Got your bay primed today. There's a little more puttying to do, and I have to weld in the patch panel on the passenger side, but it's VERY close.

Towhooks might be needed someday so we left 'em on. (unless you mean why didn't we take them off and not spray over them? just lazy... thats all
) and the horn will be painted black along with the rest of the front. a little paint wont hurt it

Its not my car so im impartial to what does and doesn't get painted. But you think when you go through all the work to make a bay look "clean" and "shaved" you wouldn't miss such details that require a socket set and ten minutes of your time. Again, its just an opinion.
