Default P30s in LSV with Skunk 2 Pro 2 cams Valve Clearance

Im putting together an ls bottom end with p30 pistons. On the top side is a gsr head with Skunk2 pro series 2 cams and itb's. Just wondering if any body has ran the pro2 cams with P30 pistons in an lsv. Really don't want to clay the motor so im looking for someone who has ran this setup. Also what cam gear setting it would be safe to start off with: 0,0 +1,+1 or whatever.
thanks for any help.
please don't tell me more power can be made on diff cams, i am aware of this, cams are already purchased and will end up in a high comp 2.0 engine which will be better suited for them.

In all seriousness, you might as well quit building engines if your not willing to clay to check for clearances. Would you throw money in the garbage ? No, probably not. So why take such a risk with your investment ?

Somebody elses cam gear setting's are not going to ensure the safety of your engine, every engine is different and nobody really know's how much there head's been milled or block decked, there's just no way to know for 100% sure.

Pro2's also are not a drop in type of camshaft. They must be degreed properly or you might as well use stockers.

If you degree them in, Skunk2 recommends +2i/+4e, if I remember correctly.

Be careful with that intake cam, you are treading in dangerous waters advancing it too much.

But anyway, my setup is very similar to the OP's planned build.

The setting that made the most power on my setup was:

+4 intake
+4 exhaust

Although, before the RMF Narrow header/SMSP 2.5" exhaust, the settings that made the most power were 0, +1.

Now, I did not degree these cams to begin with, but was very cautious as to how far we went on the dyno.

I'm pretty sure advancing the exhaust cam to +5 made 2whp more, but would NOT idle, no matter what was done.

If you know someone with the proper tools to degree these cams, do it. If not, be very conservative with the cam tuning.
