or maybe someone should just take the main power form the headlight switch and hook it to the ignition. so lights are only on when key is on. so lights turn off with the key.

Wish I saw this about a month ago. I left my lights on after driving on one of those, sunny (lights off), then gloomy (lights on), then sunny (lights are still on cause my dumbass forgot) days.

the fuses are rear defroster (ground) and headlights (power). this has been around for years and it works fine

Its true, those fuses do work, but it just feels wierd jamming wires into them.

For clarity, this method is: lights on, keys off to buzz, correct? I've drawn out a circuit with two relays for: lights on, keys off, door open to buzz. I may look at adding these two fuse box locations and dropping one of the relays. Thanks.

correct, the buzz happens when the lights are on and the keys are off, whether or not the doors are open.

Is this just for headlights, or does it work for interior lights left on as well. I'm known for leaving my dome light on

A good option, especially for anyone using the other plugs already for something else.

like i posted before, these clips stretch out the fuse slots. making it too big for just a fuse(i had to bend them to fit). if you can do it the "correct way" then why not, it saves you from damaging the fuse slots. which i cant see how you can bend them back, maybe if you open it up.
but, to each his own.

there was a beeper on my car when I bought it that does just what this thread is meant to do.

I thought it was stock

I guess someone that had the car before me wasn't as stupid as I thought they were

Just borrowing your pic ^^^

So, I already have a wire plugged into the right socket (red clip above). Its for my power window switches that light up when the headlights are turned on.

Can I just put the wire from the beeper (beeper red wire above) with the current wire (from switch) together? Then plug the ground (black wire) from the beeper into the other socket?
