I'm sending a personal check out to Tom. I have a huge B.S. dispute with paypal right now. Its been going like this for me in the past month, can't send any money right now but will send out a check. Will send a email to the total amount as well.

Never met Tom....only talked to him a few times. Have learned much from his posts in the All-Motor forums.

I've heard nothing but good things from Dave, DonF, and Rocket about Tom. That's all I need to know.

Money Sent.....Prayers going up!

Any more updates, Dave?

Paypal sent. Talking to Tom right now. I am hoping he gets well soon.

He is really really in a financial bind since Insurance is only covering 60% of his medical bills and his prescriptions are $148 a week!

I've only talked to him once on here, but he's definitely contributed a lot to the HT community. One of the few "big league"() HTers I know of in my area. Hope he gets better...it's good to see people wanting to help out.

He needs to sue that lady and insurance co. that hit him. The least they can do is cover his medical bills

I'm sure that will happen. But that is a lengthy process. Tom has to recover the best he can right now so he knows what his final disabilities will be with regard to his back. Also his medical bills are far from over. This is why there is an allowed waiting period (usually 2 years, but I'm sure it may be different in other states and related to the injury) to determine all these costs before a suit must be filed.

Well this stuff just gets worse by the day.

Kim, Tom's GF, seems to have developed bronchitis or walking pneumonia over the last couple of says. I talked to Tom earlier today and he sounded terrible. He was coughing and thinks he may also be coming down with it. He'll be heading to his doctor on Monday.

Then he just called me again tonight, you won't believe this, he was able to get out of the house so he headed off to get Kim a Christmas present and he was in another auto accident. Evidently, he had to stop quickly and the person behind him did so without incident but then the 3rd person in line didn't and they had a 3 car accident. Tom said it was only minor damage to his bumper. But when the cops got there and saw that Tom had an IV they made him go to the hospital and they had his car towed. He spent 4 hours in the ER and wasn't even seen so he finally headed back home.

What's the saying? If you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all.

All anyone can do in a situation like this is to take one day at a time or else you'd truly get overwhelmed. We're all pulling for ya Tom.
