So if your car is LHD, it is supposed to be on the left side. If your car is RHD, it's supposed to be on the right side.
A few cars had them on both sides.
I figure I might as well also post this here:
The bumper mounted lights you often see on 5G and 6G Civics aren't OE for those cars. Those cars are supposed to have them in the taillight housing (as shown in the first post).
Many of those rear fog lights that you see for the rear bumper are actually for the 3G ('94-'01) Integra or the Honda Capa.
