Default do the rockers on an ls b18b motor have to be in a specific cylinder?

i took a motor apart and got the rockers all mixed up. do they have to be in a specific cylinder, or can i just put them in there and adjust the valve lash accordingly. i looked and didnt see any real markings to indicate if the rockers were intake/exhaust specific.

no, but you need to do a valve adjustment once you get everything back together.

You can still drive with out of spec valves. There will just be a loud ticking sound coming from the head. Why not just do it yourself though? It's easy to do and if its your first time might take like 30 - 40 min after. Each time after that it'll be quicker and quicker to the point where it'll only take like 15 min.

ok guys, thats pretty much what i figured, just wanted a second opinion

valve adjustments are easy, but man i hate their guts. i dont like being bent over the car doing something tedious like that for 45min
