does special edition em2 have a k series in it? i saw one the other day and was like...whats so special about it?

No, they don't have K-series engines. They just have a few optional and standard features that are not offered on the standard model.

If i'm correct the em's and es's in thailand came with
A3's.

Doubt it

But i've been looking into selling my em2 for a 8th gen si.. simply because resale with swap is nearly impossible..but i've heard things about k- series trannies and their 3rd gear.. is it all k's or just our 8th gen counterparts??

I don't think so. I do know that there are a couple over there with K-Swaps (we even have a couple members here with K-Swaps, that are from Thailand). But, every article I've read from Honda does not lead to a K-powered EM or ES anywhere.

There are quite a few different K-series transmissions. Personally, none of them are really any good if you look at their gear ratios. The K20a3 transmission is ok, but it's just a 5-speed.
