most people are finding k20a3's from auto wreckers for 1500-2000. So i would call up local wreckers as well.

And yes teh JDM base is k20a3.

There is no "Clutch Cable" so whenever you get a chance edit your list!

And also if you are doing auto->manual or K20 swap.

You also need to ground two wires in order for you to start the car and be able to take your key out of the ignition.

jdm k20a

to get into the 12s you need slicks and a fair amount of mods n/a

for the em/es chassis at least.

in an EG or CRX...all day everyday stock....lol

Where is a good place to get a K20A2 swap in Northern Cali? I live like an hour and a half north of sacramento.

Just wondering if you guys thought this was a good deal:

I came across a salvaged base-RSX hit in the back. Everything else is good (motor, tranny, full harness, leather seats, etc).

He wants $4,000.

I plan on swapping the K and the seats, and parting the rest. Doors, sunroof, lights, suspension, wheels, to recover maybe $1,000.

Worth it?

Yea, so this guy dropped his price down to $3,300. Should I snag it? I'm debating this because I would like to make my money back when I sell my car.

This is based on paying $3,300 for a wrecked RSX and selling off everything except the K-swap. Which includes: 5-lug disc brake conversion, leather seats, dash components, cluster, sunroof assembly, door panels, lip kit, and other misc interior and exterior parts.

With the the $3,300 that I would potentially spend, how much money do you think will be recovered based on the aforementioned items? I have no idea what they would sell for, and I am basically looking for input from people who actually know this.

I am still debating whether or not the extra 30 DOHC hp is worth it... heh.

You may get $1000 on the remainder of the shell. You'll still need the engine mounts, though.

Yea $1k sounds good on the return. Do you think I will see a return when I sell the car?

I know the world of aftermarket has less value in the resale of automobiles, but what if? I dunno.

You won't see a return for the work you do. You'll be lucky to get 75% of the car's Blue Book Value, after the engine swap.

This has been covered before. It'll be 2-3 times as costly as a K-series engine, since nobody makes parts for the swap.

i did some searching and it looks like the B16 should work pretty good. it spins the same way as the D17. it should be easier to put in because its not spinning in the opposite way like the K
