They run off 50% of your highbeams max output

If they run off the high beams what's missing to make them work? It's one of the things they require here in Canada (daytime running lights) so I have to get them working soon.
Is there a different fuse or is it something that's going to cost me a fortune to put on? I can buy an aftermarket set of DRL's (daytime running lights) here for about $100 Does anyone know what the difference (wiring wise) is between a car that has DRL's and one that doesn't? Thanks for the help. |

That's what I would do but the law here in Canada says they have to automatically come on when you start the car... Someone said they run off the high beams at 50% power so I suppose it saves the regular bulbs.
The dealer will install them (daytime running lights) this week, they said it's just a relay they have to put in to the existing system. |

I'm thinking you can wire them directly to a constant with a low apm relay. Any local audio/custom shop should be able to do it.
