Bump for a pretty easy fix! I got an OEM lip for my 98 sedan the other day and the gaps finally got to me. So while the bumper was off I took a rubber mallet and tapped the mounting tabs up. Sits nice and tight and the Si-R lip looks amazing.

Don't worry about it. This is a really non-mechanical job, don't bother asking, just try it out. It'll probably work for most cars in general.

this is why I put my body kit back on, because the nut digs into the 3 layer JDM fiberglass, and acts like a lok'ed out washer. Oh and the body kit was from Oshkosh wisconsin, so you knowz its filled with JDM mugen bling bling.

cant F with that kinda fitment.

I hope you're kidding drift_n_shift. but by a long-shot that you're not flush means sitting tight up against something else, i.e. very little or no gap

A friend and I just did this to my '00 bumper because there was a huge gap...replaced the plastic thing and screw with a bolt, nut, and washers like how you guys did. All I can is I am very satisfied with the results.

So, it looks like this has helped quite a few people
I was getting PM's every now and then stating the pics were not showing up. Well, no more worries about that. We-todd is out and Photobucket has now taken over

It's the same principal. I have the hardware for the rear. The car is disassembled at this time, but I do have pics. I will look at them and see what I can post to help fix the rear

Well, I found out my problem was all the nuts holding the bumper to the trunk were loose BTW if you need the rubber gaskets that go between the bumper and the trunk, I found them at Lowes for 2 for $0.90 where Honda wants almost $3 EACH!!

But I did this trick to where the bumper meets the car at the wheel wells and it looks pretty nice. But my bumper is probably the worst shape body piece on my car lol. But the trick helps it look a bit better
