^^ as long as you're careful you can save the pins, I just used a tiny flat head eyeglass screwdriver when I did my injector harness *nightmare...*, although a depin tool would make it a 100000x easier I think. I know there is a place in town that sells pins here, you could probably find one near you on google.

That's right.
I use a precision screwdriver set or a sewing needle. Always note down where each pin came from. Post pics of the plugs you want to depin and im sure we can explain how it's done. It's easier than you think.

It's harder mocking it up and working out your heatshrink/braid combo's.
You gotta feed the larger gear on first and you will have most plugs depinned to be able to fit it over everything. Getting it in a clean and organised fashion is quiet trickey and takes alotta patience IMO. Hard to explain, those who have done it will know what I mean. It is a real pain to slide the braid over the wires with the pins still intact aswell. If you had all new pins/wires it would be much easier and cleaner. Not completely necessary though, just would make life easier, and the easier it is, the cleaner it will come out. My opinions.

Oh by the way, all this talk about shielded wires and avoiding cutting them. Guess what I went and did. LOL.
I cut the thick BLK knock sensor wire near the ECU plug when shortening some wires there. All i did to fix the issue was join the power back together then taped that up, then soldered the shield back together and taped it all up. Should be fine.

I can find a wiring diagram for my harness, even honda dont have as they were owned by Mercedes benz in SA in the 90's and when they went seperate alot was lost according to them!!! So basically i just wanna resleeve my harness. there is not much to do as im running a stand alone management so its just the basics for the dash board display and starter and so on. appreciate your help Wes

As for the knock sensor, do you even need it if you've gone OBD1? i have a 5th gen ('97-OBD2) prelude that's getting a 4th gen H22A1 (OBD1) motor. i was under the assumption that i could get rid of the knock sensor...am i way wrong? |

I just kept everything exactly as it was. Every pin went back into its original position. The only thing I removed was the EVAP/Purge plug as i am not using it.

^what? Looks left hook to me...
With the shielding, on my EK/B I extended by the ecu, the shielding doesn't go all the way to it.

I dont see any RHD's on this page.. Nice work to the 3 bays above. The crx looks very well planned out and put together.
The single set-up looks mint.. Like it just came from honda that way. -Is the header painted, jetcoated?
