Dave, I've seen your book everywhere lately. Can't open a magazine w/o seeing it as a gift idea or as a reference to those starting out.

Good for you, dude.

definitely a good book. i was going to wait before i started getting into really racing (have done auto-x before), but after my wife and i read your book, we started searching for my new racecar. i probably should have taken your advice and bought a race ready car, but the extra money for the enjoyment of building my own is worth it.

great book, everyone should have a copy.

My advice is to buy a racecar, yet I've built two of them now. LOL

Thanks for the post!! One question though, did your rip out the budget pages before having your wife read it?

That was probably my fault. I was making some changes now that Pay Pal allows me to create different charges for US & Canada shipping. It should work fine now. Sorry about that.

Yeah. SCCA is moving away from their marketing partner so much of their merchandise is no longer for sale on their site right now. It's a bit frustrating.

A few SCCA regions are selling that edition (www.NER.org - my personal home region being one of them). The only difference between the two versions is that the standard edition references other clubs including NASA and a few name branding changes (PDX vs. HPDE; solo vs. autocrossing).

Sorry about the site issue.

That is awesome! Congratulations. I know how much work you put into building your CRX, and know you must be feeling fantastic right now.

Who was your instructor? If you haven't already, be sure to stop by and say hi to Jeff Lawton (red Saturn), Greg Amy (black Integra) and crew.

Loved the book. I like how you autographed it too. Nice touch. It definitely helped me out before I went to my first HPDE. I'd still buy the book even though the contents are free online.
