Default Finished up another manifold the other day...I think I'm getting better... :)

Let me know what ya think!

My welds are getting a lot better, and it is taking me FAR less time to finish up a manifold. I hope to have a couple new designs out here soon.

That looks pretty nice IMO. I'd be interested in some critiques because my welding ends up looking very similar.

keep up the good luck

Looking better. If I may I would suggest trying to keep the filler in the puddle and weaving back and forth in a Z pattern. Kind of a pseudo cup walking pattern. It should help keep the butt welds more consistant and avoid carrying any contamination into the weld with the filler when you dab it.

Interior welds do look better lol.

looks beautiful. keep up the good work and rember to help those just starting out and hopefully we will make less mistakes. and if god forbids it does end up failing, there is no shame in letting us know. alot of us are really here to help and learn. but there are those who are here to hate and hurt, fukk em. good work? what did you use to weld it? how long you been welding?

also, on that 4th runner, is there any reason why you didnt just use one piece of pipe, instead of the 2 welded together?

I use a T3/T4 and a 38mm gate to fab up the manifolds...so yeah, it fits.

Of course. You can see where I sanded the ends. The last runner goes way out in order to avoid the compressor. If you have seen the pics of my personal setup, you can see that the compressor sits right between the #1 and #2 runners.

90 for the pipe-pipe welds, and 120 for the flange welds.

I only made one pass. For that 4th runner, I originally had one piece but I kinda messed up when I welded that runner on. I had it a little offset, so I had to cut it, and reweld it. I won't make that mistake again though.

Definitely better Bryson! Wire-wheel the pieces before welding, you'll have a more finished-looking piece like this:
