Default 5th Gen Engine Bay shave

Not sure if this Thread belongs in the Prelude forum or the Fabrication Forum but here it goes..

A while back I pulled my motor to build a new turbo setup, and me being real OCD about how clean my engine bay is, I noticed how dirty it got even though I regularly cleaned it, I noticed the factory paint in the engine bay was just the base coat white, with no pearl added, or clear coat. So that white, when gets dirty gets stained by the dirt and wont come out.

So I opted to repaint the whole bay in my garage, with Factory paint and clear coat to keep the dirty from staining

While I was at it, I said to my self, just go all out, since my car is far from stock, way far from stock. I dove into the point of no return, I decided to shave the engine bay. Cleaning the majority of the lines and holes that I will not use, and along with that I decided to do a wire tuck since thats what seems to be the trend on here on HT.

here are some pics of the progess so far, I havent clear coated it yet, As I just got done spraying the last coat of pearl, waiting for that to dry, before I can clear, I figured why not and post come pics on the Prelude forum.

shaved the 12 random holes honda put there, and left the 4 stock holes for the stock radiator

and added two holes with 10mm nuts on spot welded underneath in the middle for the half sized civic radiator mount

Wow, nice first post douchebag. I honestly wish I could personally kick every noob that asks a stupid question right in their ignorant pea sized balls.

BTW, looks great, cant wait to see it with the motor in there.

How much experience prior to this do you have with painting?

By the way, I took care of that jackass that was posting up all the bs.

i really dont have much time behind the gun, about 3 yrs ago someone backed into my car and messed up the paint, so i took that time to learn how to paint, fixing my hood and front bumper..

my paint supplier was really skepical of me performing the job back then, and was really concerned about me messing up my car, but after a few hrs, of painting I got it down, and I showed him my work and he was really surprised. He said I painted better than some professionals he deals with.
