Ok pay attention 0. Trial Users Your Trial period will last approximately 7 days. You can't post in classifieds or the other special forums, you are limited to 5 posts a day. Also, it is not necessary to create posts to say 'Hey guys I'm new!' 1. Classifieds/WTB's: Regular users may post here There is a thread at the top of the forum for this purpose only. Don't make a fs or wtb thread because I will lock it and dock your points. That thread is there permanently. When you post something for sale just put a link to a picture and not the actual picture in the thread in order to speed page loading. I will make a point to clean it up periodically so if you want to make sure it is still there then keep an eye on it. Also trade posts are also not allowed. 2. Search Feature:Many of your questions have already been answered, check it out first. SEARCH Non-Compliance: Users that repeatedly posting simple topics that could have been easily answered by searching, and are now cluttering the board. 3) Pictures and Images/Video's: These must be posted in the accord pic thread. I will move any threads that are made solely for the purpose of saying "hey look at this new part" Or any form of a pic request thread. Non-Compliance: Posting pictures of your 'ride', asking for opinions on rims , asking if something is 'rice' or not etc, we will use our discretion 4. E-racing/Bench Racing There is no acceptable use of racing here unless it pertains to an actual track event or drag event which produced ACTUAL RESULTS. No guessing contests on power either. Non-Compliance: "What would my car run?", "Will I beat a XXXX?", we will use our discretion. We also do not allow 'How much power am I going to make?" threads. 5. RESPECT Respect all users, including new ones just because you've been around doesn't give you the right to be an ass. Unless you have something constructive to add keep it to yourself this includes making people unknowingly log out because they thought you were helping and all you did was give them a link to log them out. Type like this and you will be auto docked 2% No person knew everything when they first came here so cut the new people some slack. Non-Compliance: Insulting newbies, telling people to search bluntly, or buy a helms, being argumentative for no good reason, poor attitude in posts, blatant flaming, condesceding tone in posts, being an ass, warping other people's threads for your own benefit etc. 6. Post Whoring: I despise post whoring and I will not tolerate it. Post-whoring is defined by Honda-Tech as the following: Posts which contain no relevant contribution to the thread, topic, or site Posting responses to a thread for the sole purpose of boosting post count Posting derogatory and/or 1-word answers to a topic Posts/Threads that are meaningless and lack the ability to elicit thought-provocative responses Posting a short/simple response which shows you replied to the title and not the topic Posting up something that you have already posted in the past Also, if a thread is locked it was locked for a reason. Think about what you did instead of creating an identical thread again. 7. BE SPECIFIC: Make titles for threads, and questions clear and to the point! Just like this one. Include all the necessary info like year and model/engine Non-Compliance: Vague titles, general questions 8. Sponsorship/Group Buys Only Honda-tech sponsors are allowed to post up individual threads containing products that are undergoing design. If you are a sponsor, you are also allowed to ask the general public to gauge interest on the demand of a certain type of product. However, Sponsors are not allowed to use this forum for group buys or special sales. There is a whole section of the site devoted to sponsors and sales of that nature. Non-sponsors are not allowed to use the site to use the site to promote the mass sales/group buys of items. If you want to market a product, then you must be a registered Honda-tech sponsor. Use your common sense on this one. - Do not create a thread with the purpose of something OT then later add in 'my battery voltage is low, how to i fix it' type of tech-question. - There is also a forum specifically for Appearance / Cosmetic so please post 'what color should I paint my car/rims' and 'what type of body kit' questions in that forum. - If you want to know what type of rims will look like on your car, go into GDD and ask some of the members to do a photochop of it. These threads will be locked/deleted. - Also, if you are going to complain about a company please do so in GDD. Borderline posts of such will be dealt with at the discretion of the moderators/admins. - If you are new here do not make a post telling everyone you are new and here are 4 pictures of your car. You will be docked. - Do not ask how to disable the Governor on our car because that is pointless - Do not make threads listing your set-up then asking us what you should do next. It's your car, not ours. Everyone will list something completely different. - Do not ask us how much your car is worth either. These threads will also be deleted/locked. - Threads that offer to pay someone money for who ever diagnoses their problem are also not allowed. 10. Copyrighted Material Do not post copyrighted material on the board unless you own the rights to do so. This in particularly refers to the .pdf Helms manual and pictures you do not own the rights to. Posting a link for illegal downloadable material is also a violation. If you have a topic that you feels need to be posted in the Accord forum and it is against regulations, send an accord forum moderator a pm asking for thread approval accompanied by the reason it needs to be posted specifically in the forum. If you are determined to be in Non-Compliance you will have your thread and/or post deleted and/or locked. In addition you will recieve: 1st Offence - Warning 2nd Offence - Reduction of user rating points 3rd+ Offence - Our Discretion (Point Reduction, Eventual Ban, Loss of Avatar, Permission Level Change, etc.) If you feel your punishment was not necessary please read the appeals section of the TOS. Any borderline violations will be dealt with by the discretion of the moderators/administrators. We do not get paid to babysit people and we do not have time to argue over PM for hours at a time. The moderators are here to help the forum run smoothly and help out others. Showing disrespect to the moderators in the use of foul language will result in an immediate ban.
