Default Full-Race rad users...what upper hose?

I just got my Full-Race rad today, but the upper port is slightly offset from my old civic half-core. My old upper hose from a DA doesn't fit (kinks it). I'm just wondering what you guys are using with a GSR head?

I also have a question about these relays. Are they both for the A/C? I'm just wondering if I can ditch them.

Thanks!
Bryson

i'm lovin that turbo top mount mani Bryson!

those relays... you can ditch them as long as you don't use your a/c system anymore. one is the compressor clutch relay and the other one is the condenser fan relay. also you can remove the condenser fan relay fuse from your fuse box(under hood). also disconnect pins A15(A/C Compressor Clutch Relay) and B5(A/C Thermo Switch) if your using OBD1 ecu's.

for the upper rad hose, i have no idea, sorry can't help yah out. have you tried the gsr upper rad hose? i think that's the one w/c works or prolly ask FR what's the proper one that fits.

dunno- i mounted mine on the other side. i'm waiting on the motor to decide what to use.

on a previous car i went to autozone and they let me take a whole bunch of hoses out to the car to test fit until i found one that worked.

there is always the earls non-model specific stuff if you cant get something oem to go on.

bought the car with that rad hose. dont know whats its off of. but u get the general idea of what u want, goto parts store and go in the back with the guy.. make a drawing of what u need and search it out.

in that last pic you could cut the hose about an inch where it goes onto the head and it SHOULD really help out that kink towards the radiator...

Yeah that hose would work great. And I like the cap where it is. If it was on the other side it would be sticking up more where the latch is. On the left it's kinda out of the way.

the cap is in a different place because full-race re-designed the radiators so that they can be used on either side of the car with less complications with mounting or the hood latch.

I had similar problems with my Fluidyne rad.

I can't tell from the pic if your inlet on the rad is in the same place as mine or not.

What I did was I used a GSR upper hose and cut both ends until it fit with no kinks!

worked out well for me!!

Your AC relay pic is not posting, I am working on a huge AC tutorial to help folks with their own AC systems for the DIYer. I am asking for pics please and your pics are clean. Do you still have the relays, is the sub harness still on or off of the car. If you have time to post some pics of AC components I would like to guide you if you can spare the time, you will be helping many folks here on HT.

Bottom pic is an example.
