Re: Innovative mounts !!! Welded and billet mounts- GREAT urethane and great prices !!! (project dc
I have a question about the innovative mounts for a 1992-1993 GSR. I see that it only comes with the 2 side mounts and the rear mount. Is this implying that you do not need the front motor mount if you upgrade to these stiffer mounts?
I plan on making as much horsepower as traction lets me in my DA. I had inserts in my stock mounts and removed the front mount and I would get no traction or wheel hop.
If I got the innovative 85A Race mounts would they be able to hold the motor solid without a front mount with 400hp? 500hp? 800hp?
My current setup will not allow me to use a front motor mount. Can these mounts hold up to the test?
I want to know the truth or experience, I dont want opinion. I know the ef chassis is unable to use the stock front mount when boosted some times. Are these 3 single mounts holding that much power. Were these mounts designed for this kind of power? Were they designed not to use the front motor mount, or in conjuction with a stock front mount? How were these mounts tested? What is the limits of the 85A race mounts?
I just want to know because as of now Hasport does not make a mount kit for DAs and I have heard good things about Innovative. Showing love for the DAs

I blew up a gas station once..
All you people complaining about gas prices should stfu. I was charged for every last drop that was burned. Got the bill as soon as I was released from General Hospital in Port Charles. I guess you learn as the world turns. Now all my children will have to help me pay the bill. In fact, most of the days of our lives will be spent paying for this incident of static explosion. But, you only have one life to live right?

ive had customers install 3 mounts and said they didnt even need the front mount or feel the need for them. but they installed it just for the hell of it. if a DC2 can use 3 mounts. so dan your DA. the 85A will pretty much stand up to almost anything. i dunno about 800 HP. at that rate i'd go solid motor mounts and a race only setup. but innovative does stress analyzing on their mounts before production and engineer them to be quite strong. their fitment is great and customer service is hands down the best ive dealed with in the industry.
