A lot of people have asked us for a base example of what to expect when fitting our products, so here you are. This is based on a stock B16A2 with S4C Box (8500rpm limit, stock gear ratios, stock 4.4 FD). Note that top speed is high as this does not include Aerodynamic Drag as a factor. All speeds are Approximate but gives you a good example:

1st: 40mph
2nd: 62mph
3rd: 90mph
4th: 118mph
5th: 154mph

With 4.05 Final Drive:
1st: 44mph
2nd: 67mph
3rd: 97mph
4th: 128mph
5th: 167mph

With 4.785 Final Drive:
1st: 37mph
2nd: 57mph
3rd: 82mph
4th: 108mph
5th: 142mph

With 4.928 Final Drive:
1st: 36mph
2nd: 55mph
3rd: 80mph
4th: 105mph
5th: 137mph

With Close Ratio Gear Set:
1st: 40mph
2nd: 62mph
3rd: 77mph
4th: 94mph
5th: 131mph

With Close Ratio Gear Set + 4.05 Final Drive:
1st: 44mph
2nd: 67mph
3rd: 84mph
4th: 102mph
5th: 142mph

With Close Ratio Gear Set + 4.785 Final Drive:
1st: 37mph
2nd: 57mph
3rd: 71mph
4th: 87mph
5th: 120mph

With Close Ratio Gear Set + 4.928 Final Drive:
1st: 36mph
2nd: 55mph
3rd: 69mph
4th: 84mph
5th: 117mph

Another review from one of our happy customers:

Vehicle: Mildly modified UK CRX Del Sol Vti (B16) with 4.4 Final Drive
3rd Gear 40-70mph: 20.3% Improvement
4th Gear 40-70mph: 17.5% Improvement
5th Gear 40-70mph: 17.6% Improvement
Average Improvement: 18.5% Improvement over 3rd/4th/5th Gears
Comments: "After fitting the gears into my car, I went for my first drive and there seemed to be an invisible thread pulling the corners of my mouth as on shifting into third, I couldn't suppress a grin - then shifting to forth, I started to giggle"

On the F22/H22 trannies do you have to modify or buy anything to make the final drives fit? Also have you tested this final drive set to see what mph gains are over stock F22/h22 trannies?
Thanks

foumer: Nope, the H22A FD's fit straight on, no modifications required

You will not gain mph after fitting the H22A FD as the 4.64 will bring your gear ratios closer (i.e You will lose top speed). Unlike the B-Series, we do not currently have a longer FD for the H22A.

UPDATE

We are proud to announce the release of our longer 1st Gear for B-Series transmissions with a 3.077 ratio.

The 1st gear will work with the stock shaft - Our uprated shaft is not required to install.

If installed along with our 3rd/4th/5th Gear Set (Stock 2nd can be reused), this will give you a True 1st-5th Close Ratio Gear Setup

zc911: No, you will require some JDM parts for the Final Drive to fit the USDM transmission

very very intresting... VERY intresting.. can we see a movie of these in action, compared to stock, how much of a diffrence it is ?

i know the ratio is small, but i can't really wrap my head around it. I think sales would go up if our little civics where blasting threw the gear box like a hooker doing a rail of coke.

VIDEO PLEASE !!!

For those that are interested in the RPM differences between the gears. MPH difference is helpful, but RPM difference is the other part of the equation.

Taken from my transmission page (http://thebense.livejournal.com/56502.html)

LS transmission
1.900 / 3.230 = 0.58824 or 58.824%

0.966 / 1.269 = 0.76123 or 76.123%
0.714 / 0.966 = 0.73913 or 73.913%

1.034 / 1.360 = 0.76029 or 76.029%
